i like Minzy's voice in songs but i don't enjoy her presence. i've been a 2NE1 fan since 2011 and i never really connect with her deeper. i liked her look in 2014 tho when she has long red hair but other than that, she really wasn't like the other girls

i hope that she success in whatever she is going to do from now on and maybe she has finally found the right thing for her

i am a Bom-stan for life have always been and will be from now til the end

I was never able to choose a bias in 2NE1 I've always loved all of them equally... But I suppose I don't really know their personalities well enough, because I didn't stan them as much as I stan some of my faves.

I've always loved all the members but Bom is my favorite. Her personality is kind of fun and girlish but sometimes she shows her deep side.
I think Minzy had the most growth from start to finish. I felt like her dancing and vocals were always improving. But Boa will always be the best dancer in Korea.

My biases are Bom and CL. Back when YG didn't focus on CL only...

All through the video... I was waiting for Minzy to appear It doesn't feel like a proper farewell song without the four of them!

It's a shame Minzy wasn't in the song.

Welp, my heart is officially crushed
I agree I wish Minzy had been part of the song too but I'm happy they at least included photos of her and stuff, so she wasn't forgotten. I love the song too, I wonder how it would've turned out if CL released it on her solo album though.

Also that last part with them in bed/on CL D: D: D: it's almost like CL's comforting/protecting Bom and Dara I love it so much

Also pt. 2, is it me or does Bom's voice sound the best it ever has? I mean, she's always been great but idk she sounds even better in this song, haha

I still don't get it - why did they decide to disband? I mean, as a group they will always be more powerful than individually. Were all of them dissatisfied? Dunno, I don't care about their individual careers at all and I can't stand CL's solo music, so...

^We didn't really know the real reason they disbanded but apparently YG is saying he did it because of/for Bom.

Quote:
Yang Hyun Suk explained, "I wanted to protect 2NE1 when Minzy moved to another label but the reason why I decided on their disbandment was because I believed that Park Bom's mental health was not well. After that incident (her drug controversy), the criticism she received was immense. Not only did Park Bom suffer from stress and guilt, but she also longed to keep promoting with 2NE1. I advised Park Bom that 2NE1 is important, but I wanted her to put her mental and physical health first."

He continued, "You never know what can happen so there may come a day when they reunite like S.E.S. I believe that day will come."
I call BS tbh, if he wanted to protect 2NE1 and make sure Bom's mental health was okay then they could've gone on hiatus again, I don't see that as being reason enough to disband them completely. But oh well, I guess

I didn't see that fans asked Bom about her health and she said she's fine, that makes me even more angry at YG for sure. I can't wait for him to realize he's single handedly fucked up his own label with all the crap he's been pulling lately.

Bom needs to go to another label and get the solo career she deserves and really stick it to YG. I really wish Bom all the success and happiness in the world I can't wait to see what she does in the future, and I hope that whatever it is, it never has anything to do with YG again.

^well, she has masses of surgery, behaves like a 4-year old, took drugs "not knowing it was iligal" and so on...come on, I like BOM but she is not the poster-child for mental-health. I can see why he interfered, especially given her overall appeal to Koreans after the "scandal".

and I'm sick of reading blame post to CL. she had no "star disease" or whatever. Can you even imagine how frustrating it has to be if you want to put out music and be creative but you get held back by everything. 2NE1 didn't even made 40 songs in nearly 8 years - thats a freaking joke.

They had to come out with a reason for their disbandment... but to be honest I doubt anything we will hear in statements is true, or the whole truth. As Louass said they would have announced an official hiatus in that case instead of just promising a comeback and stringing both 2NE1 and their fans along for years.

Personally it's probably due a bunch of drama behind the scenes that no one will be able to talk about ever. It's a huge shame and all four are super talented, I hope they find healthier and more successful careers now it's all over.

I do think it was wrong of YG though to single out Bom in his official explanation. We only know what they show us and to shift the reasoning to one person is just a sneaky tactic. Also thinkingoutloud89, it's proven the drugs she brought into the country were medicine for her condition that were legal outside of South Korea, right? Celebrities tend to depend on their carers a lot for that information and it doesn't surprise me that she had no idea. It's like all of those sportsman and women who were temporarily banned due to their agents not keeping informed of certain medications being added to the ban list...

your type of people are the reason they are done and dusted. i'm sick of people being like Bom uses drugs. IT WAS A MEDICINE SHE GOT WITH PRESCRIPTION FROM A DOCTOR. it's not like she bought them from the streets. and now 2NE1 is over for people throwing shade on her. and what goes to her surgeries, she can go to plastic surgery as much as she feels like it. she has the money and i think she looks beautiful. she is drop dead gorgeous

^I did not say she is a drug addict and I couldn't care less what she takes, I meant she way she got it and it was not from a doctor. She got it via candy shipped from america from her aunt. And even more - even if she got them from a doctor in the states, they are forbidden in korea. You can't just ignore the law.

I think Bom's scandal did contribute to the disbandment of 2ne1. It's ridiculous that it even was a scandal. Plus people just can't seem to get over it, even though it has been YEARS since it happened. I think Bom has become a perfect example of how bad asian fans can be when they become judgemental.
But I do think there is more to the story. I think things did go on behind the scenes. I think that is why the girls started to do other things or pursue solo activities. They knew that if they stayed with 2ne1 they would be stuck doing nothing. When you look back, 2ne1 has not released that much music, despite being active since the 2000s. Compared to other kpop groups who release things all the time too.
It just pisses me off because 2ne1 should be the leading female kpop group. They should be enjoying top success at this point, they should be flourishing. But instead they were always being held back for one reason or another.
But I did enjoy the song, especially Dara's part.
Now I am just hoping for Bom to go solo.
