What are these threads even for? Lots of artists put their mini albums on their albums, yes, I know Ayu didn't the ONE time she had one before...and honestly, she probably won't now. But just because you guys say so, doesn't make it all set in stone.

If people freak out about it, they freak out. Who cares. They can still talk about it. There's no need to be ***holes about it.

Japan is buying singles less and less every year, with the exception of idol bands. Sure Ayu will be able to gain moderate singles for another few years, but after that digital singles will garner more profit for sure.

And that's just your opinion...quality != sales.

Nem, I actually noticed that this year's top 50 for singles looking pretty great!
The top 50 is 100,000+ while I think last year the top 40 or 35 was 100,000+ if I'm not wrong, so I think that this year in general for some reason singles did better for most. Kinda wierd if you ask me.

Isn't that because AKB practically owns top 10 and it's followed by Arashi that occupies the rest? The majority of top 30-40 singles are idol bands. I don't think the situation got better, it's just that all of sudden there are so many idol bands releasing stuff every 3 months.

That's why the recut singles should be DIGITAL. If I am not wrong you said that they might not be into remixes because Japanese remixes aren't good. It seems to me that you said the Japanese general public thinks the Japanese remixes aren't good so they aren't buying them...

Lol, that new band Sexy Zone did well. That kind creeps me out. Proud of AKB though, they've done so well for a group that started out in theatre. They work so hard.

Sad at the lack of solo artists though.
