God the pv of melody is amazing. The short version was ok but when I saw the second part I totally was mesmerized. The combination of colors & dance give me the feeling to see the Life. How can ppl be so IMPATIENT?! Seriously, when my Ayu fandom started we could be happy to get the album 1-2 days after release, we got it when the fisrt person of this forum got their CD, mostly it was after release, somtimes if we were lucky on the release day. And now you all complain that we don´t get the songs 2 weeks before release? We got previews, and one songs gonna be released digitally 1 week before release, and you cry for more like you gonna die if don´t hear that song instantly. Many here act like little children begging for icecream...
Sometime I really wish the good old days back <.<
Sry but I just needed to speak out what I am thinking since a few month/years =/

It doesn't matter if release is tomorrow or in 4 months, as soon as people hear previews they're going to get excited and crave for whole songs. It doesn't mean impatient. Do you scold people that are excited for christmas too? Or birthdays?

Old days always seems better, but trust me, they weren't.

EDIT: Probably Gloria as it seems so far to be the most single-friendly out of the five unreleased tracks. Actually, I'm really surprised that Ivy made it on again as opposed to Gloria (in terms of what we've heard so far).

Oh no, so many great songs and they are promoting the weakest track! It doesn't sound bad by any means but BBD and Petal sound head and shoulders above it. Maybe the full version will change my mind.

you know, i've been kinda thinking, this whole "natural ayu" photos, simple human like PVs (except for song 4 u), the songs that give you "Wehere did i hear that?"dejavu feeling, it kind of makes me think that Ayu with all this is just being herself, going back to basics, without any mask of heavy make-up, not being a caracter in her songs, not being a party queen not having secrets not being a rebel. Just being as most girls in japan - an impossible romantic. Maybe for once, and for this kind of special ocassion, she didn't want to go experimenting and just wanted to do what she does the best and feels most comfortable with. And most probably what her old fans like.

Ayu always had a strong "image" and wore various "masks" during her peak.
LOVEppears, Duty, I Am..., all had strong 'images'.

^yeah, that's why i am saying she's not having one now. like she dropped all of that this time. Maybe she just wanted for once to be herself as an "image"...And by "what old fans like" i meant music/songs, the good old j-pop. I mean at least i do get the dejavu of her old songs in the new ones. the whole 2 last sentences of that quote you got there is talking about music, not about her image. but again that might be just my point of view, that the new matterial has a lot of old in there.

^I don't think it's just you, I think you got something here. After the crazy Party Queen episode, I guess Avex is trying really hard to give Ayu a "good girl" image again. Most of the promotional shoots since PQ have been really soft, with light colours, not so much make-up, etc. The fact the she uses the love theme again is relevant as well for me.

honestly, real love is supposed to be simple... not very complicated and chaotic... (compare FIVE and PQ to this era)... I think the images and whatnot fit the music...
but the lyrics still get to me...
this isn't someone that is in love, this is someone wanting to be in love.

@!Lawi! : she always had this love theme going on, i mean all kind of love not just romantic love. so i think it kind of like "i am the same of self again, writting about all kinds of love, again" she always goes on about love in her lyrics. Maybe she just got tired of all that image creating with her albums and maybe it wasn't complitelly Avex wanting to get her pure image back.
I think PQ was very dramatic and revieling in most ways, but you know Duty wasn't innoscent either even tho she was dressed more, the body suit and the whole concept has soooooo many symbolism that maybe not everyone can recognize them and didn't take as direct as PQ, especially when it comes to Japan.
But at this point even in her music i see a step back to where she was already, probably where she felt most comfortable in.
In this kind of plot i see someone who is just talking about love not being a part of romantic love, but just speaking about love in general, like forgeting about all the drama and stuff and just appreaciating the bond between her, her music and fans. however even tho i see Ayu as a very honest person, still you can't drop the fact that this has some (if not a lot) commercial potential too, i mean i can even say that people will enjoy the things she's releasing just by seeing myself reacting quite possitive to this, it has a lot of things that Japanese fans will cling to, especially if it pleases the visual factor.

i like where u're coming from. it does feel more soft and subtle and also natural and genuine. she may have used other images to bring across her point before, but I think for this one, she really went back to basics and simplicity. im anticipating this album so badly yet i feel differently as compared to when I was dying for RnRC and GUILTY. haha!
