My Colours CD+DVD (Japan ver.) is in a normal jewel case, not the kind like my other CD+DVD albums, with the 2 different pronged thick cases held together. Is this how CD+DVD's are now being packaged or is my version weird??

The CD+DVD cases have been that way since "LOVE", I believe. I know some people don't like it, but I personally don't mind, it's much easier to handle the case this way, and much easier to replace as well.

^^ LOVE again had the "thick" jewel case as well, though.

I thought all CD+DVD versions of singles used to have a normal case, and LOVE and again were basically singles, that's why they had normal jewel cases I might have been wrong, because I on't own any Ayu singles apart from Mirrorcle World, Days / Green (which had a different packaging anyways) and Ftl/Mgr.

Am I the only one who thinks that during the initial english part of everywhere nowhere ayumi sounds like gaga? XD

I still remember when my iPod on shuffle played the studio version for the first time, so I had never listened to it and I had no idea of what song it was, and I was like "What the hell is gaga doing on my ipod?".

The beggining part of "Born this way" by Gaga is very similar to the beggining of "everywhere nowhere" . I noticed this a few weeks ago but forgot to share

LOVE and again had slim CD+DVD case, but still thicker than regular ones (they're as thick as A Song for XX's CD-case).
And before that, CD+DVD singles did used to have thick double-jewel-cases as well as albums.
I think it's all a matter of budget for Avex..... Yes, LOVE again had a thick case, but not of a fine quality....

I think "LOVE again" got a thick case due to the limited editions with ayupan+photobook (the packaging would look much weirder if the case wasn't thick). "Days/GREEN" and "Mirrorcle World" didn't have thick cases (as you say, different packaging), but I believe all other CD+DVD versions of her singles did such as "CAROLS" and "Bold & Delicious" (which I own and therefore I'm certain they have those thick cases). She's had thick cases as long as she's had CD+DVD versions.

Woah, cool! Thank you for telling me, Heavenly and Ayu-me ~

Then it's most probably budget cut xD

I don't mind normal cases, they take up much less space (and I'm already running out of room for my CDs). But they're so boring haha

I personally want the plastic case gone and only have sleeve for the album.

Are y'all talking about the MS classical version of GAME? Because that was quite awesome.

Lots of ayu songs can handle orchestral arrangements when they're well done honestly.
I never got over how they pimped out HONEY on MS Classical. And Wonderland.

^We're talking about the only orchestra version of Game that exists. Period.

But yeah I always get so bored when she only does orchestra versions of ballads and summer songs. We need more interesting orchestra versions. the orchestra version of "alterna" was pretty awesome. So was "I am..." except when it got weird around the 4 minute mark. I know Zeke is strongly against ballad versions of non-ballad songs, but She needs to experiment more with it since we're already up to ayumix 8. Don't M, Dearest, Seasons, and Voyage (which are all ballads) all have like 3 or 4 different classical/acoustic/orchestra/princess china orchestra/ballad versions? And she can't toss us a bone once in a while by making slow versions of songs like Rule and Microphone?

On that note, I feel like a rock version of RAINBOW is in order.

I totally agree on hat note! It's much more interesting when they do upbeat tracks, dance/electro, or rock tracks like NEVER EVER for example. We have quite a lot of ballads that have like 3, 4 even 5 versions of orchestra/accounstic versions. And that's when i go "Well she used one of the most remixed ballads to remix AGAIN". they need to go for less known songs, but i guess that plays on the sales as well, though looking at her sales in general i don't think it matters much, really. I think it might do the oposite - i'd personally would be much more interested in getting the remix album of less remixed tracks and rarer ones than the ones that had already been remixed dozzen of times! It would be cool if she took rock songs and turned them into epic orchestra tracks.

Or if she did rock orchestra songs. Heartplace was the perfect mixture of guitar and violin. That doesn't seem to be something she does very often. Songs are usually ballads, or rock. But if she could do the same formula as Heartplace I'd be in love.

She has a lot songs combining different strings but I agree it was a nice try for her to make an electro/dance pop album but she is way better in all kind of rock so I hope the next time ... ^^
