I'm happy because this is the closest gap between albums sales in Ayu's carreer ever

RAINBOW - MY STORY gap is about -700,000 copies
MY STORY - (miss)understood gap is about -300,000 copies
(miss)understood - Secret gap is about -200,000 copies
Secret - GUILTY gap is about -100,000 copies
GUILTY - NEXT LEVEL gap is about -200,000 copies
NEXT LEVEL - Rock'n'Roll Circus gap is about just -70,000 copies

I think next album sales should be at least similar and maybe higher than Rock'nRoll Circus sales

i honestly can't see the next album selling more than rock'n'roll circus looking at how bad cd sales have reached in japan ..unless oricon stops being such a couch potato and implement digital sales with the physical sales together just like billboard in the U.S, then maybe we could see ayu's albums selling more than the previous one

Yeah, I honestly can't see why they wouldn't just implement that already. Japan is one of the most digitalized countries in the world, surely digital sales could add a significant amount XD

So you suggest that artists who sell for a ringtone 1,000,000 or for full song 750,000 legal downloads and sell 100,000 for an album/30,000 for a single physically will be above ayu in the charts? =P

I can't imagine how much higher her sales figures would be if Oricon included digital downloads...wow

"It's more fair that way." xD;

Honestly, I don't see why digital and physical sales have to be fused together. It's nice to have two separate charts for two different kinds of sales.

they should only count full song legal downloads with the physical sales if oricon was to actually mix digital and physical sales together

Because in Japan they tend to always reference Oricon which gives a somewhat distorted image of what's popular.

I wouldn't mind two seperate charts if the digital chart would actually supply the numbers, not just certifications.

Besides, I don't think anyone wants to add ringtone downloads. That's something completely different. If they would just merge physical single sales and all FULL-SONG downloads together, I'd be a happy chart addict.

Even with just full songs.

I personally wouldn't if for example...
Artist X would have 750,000 legal downloads for a full song and 100,000 sales of physical copies for an album, while for example ayu would have a full song that sold 100,000 and an album that sold 300,000 and her sales would seem lower because of the combination, while the worth of what she sold is way better (both because more people will to buy the physical copy and also because it's more profitable).

3rd Day DVD
Position: #19

Just wow for the DVD!
