I liked it... It's different enough from Teenage Dream to show some growth, but not different enough to alienate her fanbase... It still way too eartly for her to release anything way too different from her past works without this turning her followers off

I read about that when it leaked. I can hear the similarities too. It's sad but I stopped caring about plagiarism in pop music a long time ago. Like, we're on the point where it's almost hypocritical to judge an artist because of it. Ugh, to be honest, it's really disappointing. Whilst Katy Perry's music has never been mind-blowingly different I somehow thought she was above plagiarism.

^ What's funny is that she talked about that song in Twitter in May. Lol. Which makes me think that it's somehow unintentional because if she was ripping it off, she wouldn't talk about the song she's allegedly ripping off. After all, the main excuse pop stars use in this kind of situation is "I've never heard of that song before... who?"



This song would be a mess live. Lol

I love those two songs! <3 I'm sure her album will have this kind of tracks, really, but she wouldn't make a single of them. Katy staff is really careful with choosing the right songs for radio smashing, much like Rihanna.
