I'm really glad that she's producing happy songs. I mean, she can produce any song as long as she stays sincere to herself and to her fans...I love when she's experimenting with her music, like she did in 2005 with Bold & Delicious/Pride with that radical change in sound and style....also with Sexy Little Things, Party Queen upbeat & jazzy songs etc.......and so on

Oh, Merry-go-round was so good before the rap, sigh. But maybe the full version will make more sense and all and the more I listen to it, the more I succeed in ignoring the rap. God, Ayu's parts are SO GOOD.
Anyway, I can't believe this is the same Ayu that in February released stuff like Bye-bye darling or petal. She sounds inspired again, a woman who's having fun and taking risks once more. More confident and serene. I like that so much.

^ hahaha...CAROLS is a really fine song..I noticed that some songs gane real value a few years after they were released. Maybe that's the case with CAROLS too.

Among the most diva-ish popstars in Japan, like Namie, Koda, etc. nobody embraces japanese themes and aesthetic as much as Ayumi.

If they are buying Namie's stuff, there's no way they think Ayumi is too american or something.

About her lyrics. I wouldn't care if she started singing songs about killing kittens, as long as it wasn't in english lol

^^They always kind of viewed her that way though. They always thought she was plastic and too focused on looking western. She was never going to recover from that. It's been like 10 years already. But I think there are plenty of other reasons why the Japanese people don't like her...and I don't really think it has to do with her being here, or anything. Although, it probably doesn't help lol

and that HGTV video. omg. It's so SoCal

I love it. And I loooveee finally hearing her voice and seeing her move around! She seems so charming! And omg that black dress she has on!

God, if my budget was 20 million, I would be all over that Thousand Oaks house. Who cares how far it is! Get a private helicopter or something! Hello. 23 acres!

didn't she said herself that most of the tracks on Love AGAIN were the leftovers from previous albums? so of corse they all would sound very old and nostalgic...also what you call inspiration i call "a glitch in brain" lol cuz, this is by far the worst piece of work she has put out, for my ears, but i guess to each their own. She's just doing wat everyone else is doing, i hope at least it sells good cuz of the trend of that crap nowadays.

it's EDM but it's 'awkward' EDM y'know. I mean maybe you'd put Namie's FEEL on repeat at a club but this new single is probably for house parties lol. and I think that's interesting.

The Ayu eyelashes aren't 100 yen haha, they are 1400 yen as apparently not everything in a 100 yen shop is 100 yen....I had been looking to stock up xD

I actually like the rap part in Merry-Go-Round but it would be better if Ayu did the rapping. I really want her to rap again

And where the hell are the links to preorder the single from TeamAyu? And why hasn't my photobook shipped from mu-mo yet?

I like Merry go round's music, I know the rap will come since she worked with Verbal? or the other guy, I forgot lol but I'm glad she has a song like this, an easy lighthearted one without the sugar, it sounds like an anime song for me XD

I hate this kind of remixes, but I surprisingly had fun listening to them!
Maybe it's only because I'm in the mood for it~

Yes! It will blindside you. Majestic is a good word. Seriously the way the phrasing is constructed and how her emotion slowly evolves, and then the chorus roles in and there's so much warmth in that chorus. It's beautiful when you really get lost in it.
