Okay, I've just watched the PVs for 360° and Do*Positive...

360° was like omg! The PV is so abstract... it's beautiful... and I love the song! It's so haunting that it's beautiful... and I love the piano... it's really unlike the piano that I've heard in any other pop song! Honestly such style and chords would be present in classical/jazz works... but in pop... whoa Ai is going bold in such a different style... and it works! I like 360°!

And Do*Positive... snorefest. Her voice was whiny in the verses (well it's tolerate-able for some songs, but for this one it seems like she's thinking "my fans like me whining so I'll whine double in this song!")... it's horrendous. And IMO, the song is just dead, flat and bland. 360° outdoes it, in every aspect. The only good thing about Do*Positive is the instrumentals... =.=" Ai is definitely a talented composer.

I feel that the song DP was ok, but the pv was kinda boring.. and can she n her band members don't wear that big curly wig anymore?

soon cos I frankly am still having negative thoughts towards LOVE LETTER

I've just finished watching Ai PV. It's really heartwarming. And I really like the song, it's so beautiful. :3

1st impression:

360:
- Otsuka Ai is definitely pretty, but she doesn't have the face for heavy makeup. And she doesn't really wear it well.
- Overall it's nice and artist, and an interesting concept in terms of the song title and the video
- I really like the arrange and composition, and normally it's enough, but I felt her voice felt really out of place.

Do Positive:
- Can't stand the song. Her voice, like Waterballoon described, is kind of whiny.
- I do like the concept of the wacky outfit/band thing, but apart from a nice looking set and costumes, it's kind of boring.

Ai
- Pretty, and I like the old videos feeling
- The song's still a snoozefest.
- Something about her voice in it bothers me.

Overall? PVs are pretty good, though it's a shame that the songs went with the PV isn't really strong to begin with. And yes, I'm having problems with her voice that I hadn't had before. Granted, it used to be that her compositions were strong enough that her voice managed to carry them through, but even with 360, IMO one of the stronger compositions her voice feels out of place.

maybe so especially since her previous albums , dvd content wise have been stingy all along
