VAMPS announce overseas lives + best-of album

On July 3, VAMPS held a release event for their new single, "AHEAD / REPLAY", at Zepp DiverCity TOKYO.

800 lucky fans were chosen out of lottery to attend this event and were required to wear a yukata. Members HYDE and K.A.Z also appeared in front of their fans in a yukata. While fans called out praises such as "cute!" and "you match!", the two shared unknown episodes behind the making of their new single, and played "AHEAD" on the rhythm game, 'Taiko no Tatsujin'.

During the event, VAMPS announced that they will be holding live concerts overseas as well as the release of a best-of album (currently untitled). For the best-of album, the vocals for all songs and part of the music will be re-recorded.

HYDE commented, "This is an album that we took the time to make for overseas countries." It's set for release sometime this fall.

Meanwhile, the overseas lives will be held from late-September to early-October. The duo will travel to 4 countries which include Spain, France, Germany, and England.

VAMPS is currently in the middle of their nationwide Zepp tour, 'VAMPS LIVE 2013'. This tour is scheduled to run until the end of September.

^ I don't know. Well, the price is not really a problem, but the concert is on a Tuesday so it might be difficult for me to go to Paris :/
Maybe I'll try to go to Barcelona instead, I don't know yet.

Also, this best of album is unnecessary imo. There's a lot of English lyrics in their songs already, I don't see the point of re-recording the songs just to change a few Japanese words.
And they only have 2 studio albums...

Do you have to take a short plane ride should you decide to head to Barcelona to see VAMPS in concert ?

And yeah I didn't realised VAMPS only have released 2 studio albums xD To me , for them to release a best album is too sudden , let alone I'm sure the English version of their songs will sound the same as their Japanese counterparts -_-

But of course if the English versions have different music arrangements , then that will be different but it's quite highly unlikely to happen but you never know :O

Details on VAMPS' best-of album revealed

It's been revealed that VAMPS' upcoming best-of album will be titled "SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL" and it will be released on September 25.

"SEX BLOOD ROCK N' ROLL" is VAMPS' first best-of album and it's also scheduled to be released overseas. It will include English versions of 13 songs that they've released since their debut.

Regarding the recording, HYDE commented, "This isn't just a collection of songs we've released so far. We've newly recorded parts of the music, re-recorded all songs with English lyrics, and even remixed it. For overseas countries, it will be the best first album, and for Japan, it will be the best album."

The album will be released in 3 different versions: Limited Edition A, Limited Edition B, and Regular Edition. Limited Edition A will come with a Blu-ray disc containing footage from 'VAMPS LIVE 2013 ~LIVE VIEWING~'. Meanwhile, Limited Edition B will come with a box enclosing an original t-shirt, tote bag, towel, and wrist band.

VAMPS have also prepared 'VAMPS CHANCE' for those who purchase the album. Using the serial number, fans can apply for lottery to win 'PRIVATE LIVE Course', 'LIVE TICKET Course', and ;PREMIUM DVD Course'.
