Am I getting "house" confused with "dance music"? House is a totally separate genre right? None of the remixes Ayu has done so far is considered "house" (I'm assuming because "house" was never in the title). And a lot of the electro stuff you hear from Gaga or the radio is not really house but may be a more dancey version of it?

The only concern for me is AO version. We have listened some of the old AO version, and I am satisfied with NEVER EVER AO in ayu-mi-x 4 already..hmm

She did one mega-mix in LOVEppears album Disc 2. That was the only House remix I ever liked, which is sort of sad, considering we're gonna get one full album of it soon. But if it will all be of that quality, then I'm not complaining~

And yeah, house is not dance. You can't dance to house.

Electronic Dance Music is a very complicated and very broad genre. Ayu has had house remixes before, "house" does not have to be in the title to define it. HEAVEN (House Mix) is one I truly do love, but to me it doesn't sound as "housey" as other "house" remixes that do not have "house" in the remix title. It used to be "house" was a more "funky" genre - had influences from disco. But now with electro house, it's become harder to define. For me, house = monotonous. Less life. Less creativity. Less emotion. That's what I get from it and that's how I characterize it. Hard to describe, you just know when you hear it.

And yes, the HOUSE Megamix on LOVEppears Disc 2 included a lot of "house" remixes. Most of which I hated but some of the mixes they used I actually started to like.

Well okay the album One by The Swedish House Mafia is something we can all easily listen to, or even just the previews on iTunes, so let's discuss what "house" is exactly because I really want to know.

I love the tracks One (Your Name) and Miami 2 Ibiza, but I've always considered them trancey dance. But for example.. take the track Show Me Love. A lot of you probably know that one as well, I dunno about the US but here that was a huge hit. Is thát house than? Because that's the sort of thing I've always considered house, and I don't like it.

If ayu's House remixes will be anything like One or Miami 2 Ibiza, good lord we've got a freaking incredible album on our hands.

God I just blew $160+ getting the box set. My parents are going to kill me, ahahaha. Especially since I'm not supposed to be buying anything that expensive without their consent.


Oh welllll~ It's not like it's one thing, it's five. Well worth the money, compared to buying them all separately.

That would be cool. I definitely agree that there are lots of talented remixers that Ayu still hasn't used for her songs.

I don't care for remixes at all but I'm so excited for you guys! Everyone's been craving them for so long and I can't get over just how much she's delivering. I'm only super looking forward to the Acoustic Orchestra (<3) and the covers in general.

I am excited by a new release of trance and wow a house disc, thats going to be cool....but it would have been kinda awesome for new songs to be remixed, I mean a remix of Sparkle or anything from Next Level. I'm kinda on the fence about it, we have a ton of remixes for many of these songs.....I just hope that what they do with it sounds completely new.

I totally forgot that, too! My parents are going to be like WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO PUT ALL OF THESE but really, I couldn't care less. I love love love remixes and am so glad they're still continuing them!
