Spoiler:

Lady GaGa sat down with NME Magazine for a bit of a chat about her upcoming album, Born This Way. With two singles already on the loose, the whole world is anticipating what other musical gems will be hidden on the disc for us all to enjoy. During the interview, GaGa played a few cuts of some songs that she was particularly proud of.

She gave a sneak listen to Government Hooker, which reportedly "reeks of Berlin sex clubs," Bloody Mary, which Gaga explains is sung from the perspective of Mary Magdalene and describes as "a spooky rave ballad" and finally, Americano a "really politicized song about immigration."She went on to add that this coming album will play a bigger part in her life than perhaps the first two, considering the impact she is trying to make with it. She explained:

"I thought I was the cultural *****storm. I walk into a room, people write about me. It wasn't until I release Born This Way [the single] that I realized how completely vacuous everything had been. I realized now what a small impact I've really had, and how massive the impact is that I'm about to have."

Understatement. This record is going to blow everyone away!!!

As for Judas, which she refers to as "Bad Romance Version 7," she reveals that the song is very important to her, but that the video will be more so. She reveals it will involve motorbikes, death and, in the final seconds, a strong spoken word sequence about being "beyond repentance."

She explained:

"This is my way of saying 'I've already crossed the line. I won't even try to repent.' Nor should I."

so no word on Judas pv release yet? I thought it was supposed to come out today.

I wish she'd cut the crap... I don't care about religion and I really don't want references to it in my pop music. idk, am I the only one who feels like this?

I'm going to sound really shallow, but I don't give a **** what she sings about really as long as it sounds good. Sure, lyrics are important but I'm not going to call the album crap when I've heard two songs out of seventeen and only know what some of the songs are even about.

I'm a little sick of it too, and I hope she gets new inspiration after this album.

1st week of may... ok then... they need to stop changing the date..!!

I'm Catholic. I'm not overly religious, but I don't understand why she has to have all these references?! It kind of gives it a bad name.........
I'm not super offended. just confused!!

An artist should be able to express themselves anyway they please. If you don't like the religious influence, ride it out and wait for the next era. Me personally, I really don't care what she sings about as long as she's not discriminating against anyone.

I personally don't care enough about her to worry about her lyrics.
But this religious crap is annoying.

I don't understand why everyone is always complaining about things that does not really matter. If Gaga wants to sing about religious stuff, then she does it. She can do whatever she likes and feels and gets inspiration from. I think you would hate every single singer who uses/has used religion as a theme for their songs. Gaga is not the only one, you know? :'D

if lyrics didn't matter, artists would adlib in every song, or just not sing at all.

Omg, no. See, I knew someone would say this.

It's not that lyrics don't matter, it's just she has the freedom to use inspiration from whatever she wants. It's not like it sounds like a gospel choir album. She can have each song religion-related if she wants to, it's her album. If you disagree with that, poor you, but try not to bring down everyone else in her thread

It's not unheard of for singers to choose one theme to use and be inspired by through their entire albums.

And with the people saying "lol she's only doing this to get attention", well, I can think of alot more 'outrageous' things she could of wrote and sang about. Gaga is being Gaga, and it's only the people observing that are saying she's doing it for attention. I just think she's writing music. I don't like a lot of things Gaga has done, but there's one thing no one is really in the right position to complain about - what she writes about. That's entirely personal to her, she's made that clear in interviews upon interviews. I think it's sad that everyone in this thread seems to be jumping on anything to be negative about. Let's save the critisism until the actual album is released, because I'm sure alot of people in here will have some.
