"In the Kanto region, the first half of the program averaged 35.2%, and the second half averaged 41.6%. In the Kansai region, the ratings were 34.1% and 41.9%, respectively. By region, Kouhaku had the highest ratings in Niigata (44.2% and 48.9%) and Fukushima (45.7% and 47.5%)." There's some info here and here. I found it in a post on livejournal. ahh i was beaten to it haha. Last edited by Beffi; 2nd January 2012 at 02:04 PM. |

The opening performance always has either the lowest rating or one of the lowest because it's so early and most people tune in later. However Ayumi's opening ratings are some of the best Kouhaku had.

as is this LOL? said; it has nothing to do with the quality of the performance. It's common that the lowest ratings are during the beginning of the show.

Well, it's normal because Ayu was the first performer. In Kouhaku's history, the first singer usually recieved the lowest rating. And the same thing happens with the first day of the contest.
At least red team won (because of those Korean girls really) ![]() |
