Her popularity decline recently could be due to many things. Could be partly some cultural thing too. I do know that over here in North America we commend and prefer the artists to do more mature things. However it seems to some degree a bit of the opposite in Asia. They want them to be young and frequently cute as possible.

Well, even if Kuu loses as much popularity as BoA has in Japan, my opinion of Kuu won't change. I still and respect her very much. I've been following her since her debut single TAKE BACK and I'll continue to follow her to the end.

I think she still has a healthy FC fanbase at least. Guess, around 20-30k, considering what her singles use to sell now, the amount of FC tour dates and so on.
Probably the only thing avex cares about, lol, the special paying fans.

I have to say I enjoy her even more now not caring about any sales. She had her big years.

And even though she may not be selling tons as she did - which is natural - her concerts always sell out and that for sure makes more money that her albums, not to mention goodies and discs sold at the tours She's in a safe position, I guess

On the tour rankings in solo females she was only behind Ayu and Namie and they had like 40+ dates while she only did 16. She's fine

I wonder when she'll announce the 2014 tour dates

I think cuz she went on an arena tour and usually she does less dates for those

anyway most artist suffer sale decline over their career, I mean look at Gaga she is going from a million album first week sold in 2010 to maybe 250k in 2013....I think Kuu's decline is pretty great actually nice gradual sale slump instead of her dropping into oblivion after her controversy ....maybe she might get a Namie resurgence in the future but that is rare..I still don't why Japan has re-fallen in love with her but I ain't mad

It may be may be her lowest ranking in years, but that's - a bit - more copies sold than Summer Trip on its first week, that's good! Wondering which will be the song she'll be singing at those special lives that always happen around xmas/new year. Dreaming Now! seems more likely now for me, and I do hope she goes for it.

Edit: Just checked, lowest weekly rank since Hot Stuff, which was #10. Charts positions are relative, though, as Alive/Pt was #1 and 4 hot wave wasn't lol

I've never seen a Kuu single chart so low on first week charts during the time I've been a fan. Oh well, I'm OK with the position since all that I really care about is the music and to me Dreaming Now! is a perfect single♥
