I believe when she announced this update on her condition, she also announced that she was dealing with vertigo before the tour at the time (or at least described the symptoms - the nausea, dizziness, etc). These episodes of vertigo can last from a few minutes to hours - I dont think she clarified this part though

Regardless, people with vertigo don't just have episodes 24/7 for the rest of their lives. Really, it's possible that either due to medical treatment of the underlying condition or her body adjusting to the changes, she doesn't deal with vertigo anymore (or less often and less severely). When dealing with symptoms you can also take medication. Just some context.

Although it has been noted by fans that ayu seems to always have a dancer with her now when she is high up or in settings that may trigger issues, she probably has this under control...I would hope at least.

I wouldn't pay attention to rumors like the one here when the information informing it is so flawed.

Regarding the hearing condition itself, I'm not sure if she has Menieres disease or not...so I can't say much about her treatment and how much singing at concerts would actually affect her as opposed to problems inherent to the condition.

We'll probably never really know much outside of when there is a more sharp negative turn in her health. I think that's what happened at the time, and since then, I assume things have probably been more tame.

Maybe one day we'll get another announcement, but it probably won't be good...so let's hope not.

Nah she didn't have the band last time and Boys & girls was there. Boys & girls is like her default karaoke song so it's always there. Idk why it has to be that one same song every single f-ing time either. It's not like she doesn't have other hits.

Lol. I said exactly that to a friend right after I saw the post and I was like “everyone’s going to go crazy about her retirement all over again.” To be fair, it does sound kind of ominious...maybe she wants people to freak out about her retiring so they come to the shows?

In terms of the setlist. It’s not bad. I like she included in the corner, don’t look back, inspire and rule. It’s great that it’s not a carbon copy setlist. Still not a huge fan of the electronic songs, but it’s still a good setlist. I think this is the first tour ever without boys and girls?? I think she’s performed it on every single tour since the beginning.

She has tinnitus. She hears a noise sound in her deaf ear that can be minimized with a right setup of earphones. That's why she keeps adjusting it through the show, to block the noise and have a proper hearing of her other ear.

Yeah I don’t understand her keep including Bold & Delicious and Born To Be. She has tons of other epics from the album: Pride, Fairyland, Will, Alterna,even (Miss)understood. I didn’t include Is This LOVE? because she’s included that a bit often in her set lists in the past few years.

Haha yeah that’s true. It’s part of the mystery/persona I guess. Also I found it kind of funny how’s she’s like “things aren’t exactly going as planned but we’re working it out by trial and error. “ The tour started like 3 days after she made that post lol

It's expected that she "recycle" her last concert - that just happened less than one month ago. After all PoM A^3 was a concert held only in Tokyo so I think is clever to reuse the structure/setlist to other cities. I might not go to this tour tho - unless she announces a new direction/chapter like she did with the JtB Tour. Im pretty sure this tour will change a lot during the dates.

So I asked two guys from Japan I follow on insta how was it and was her voice better, they said the concert was fun (they also had very good seats) and that she sounded better, one of them said this was her best vocal performance for him in a while.

I need the 2nd set of dates announced X_X I just don’t want her to kick out STEP you, Don’t look back, Wake me up, HEAVEN, The Way I am, but I do feel the set list is going to be changing as the time goes by. I am also not a huge fan of medleys.
