Tegoshi Yuya's 2nd digital single to be titled 'ARE U READY'

Tegoshi Yuya will release his digital single "ARE U READY" on August 18.

"ARE U READY" is part two of his six-month consecutive digital release project. It's a fusion of rock and EDM, and it's the theme song for '2021 Koya CHAMPIONSHIP -Yume e no Michi-,' which is the official tournament of the battle royale game 'Koya Kodo.'

In related news, the high school reality program 'Kimi ga Kimeta Koi wo Shita.' produced by Tegoshi is now being distributed via his YouTube channel.

'Drops of God' to get U.S.-French-Japan live-action drama series starring Yamashita Tomohisa

Agi Tadashi and Okumoto Shu's manga 'Drops of God' ('Kami no Shizuku') is getting a new live-action drama series. It will be distributed worldwide in 2022 as a collaborative project between U.S., French, and Japanese companies.

'Drops of God' is a manga about wine that was serialised in 'Morning' from 2004 to 2014. It has been compiled into 44 volumes with over 15 million total units sold. In 2009, it was adapted into a live-action drama series starring Kamenashi Kazuya. The multinational, multilingual drama series will be co-produced by Legendary Television, Dynamic Television, France Television, and Hulu Japan.

The story begins with Alexander Leger, the founder and writer of Leger Wine Guides, and a great authority oenology (study of wine), who dies at his home in Tokyo. His only daughter Kamille discovers that her estranged father has left her the world's greatest wine collection in his will. However, to claim her inheritance, she must compete against Tomine Issei, a young wine critic who Alexander regarded as his son.

Yamashita Tomohisa will play the role of Tomine Issei, and Kamille will be played by French actress Fleur Geffrier. The drama will be written by Quoc Dang Tran, directed by Oded Ruskin, and produced by Dynamic Television's Klaus Zimmerman.

I watched Kami no Shizuku when Kame acted in it years ago & it was so boring , ahahaha :x

Yamashita Tomohisa to release his first photo book

Yamashita Tomohisa will release his first photo book "Circle" on November 25.

The photo book was shot by photographer Maciej Kucia from Poland. It captures Yamashita's various expressions as he pursues "a timeless expression that will remain 100 years later" in the great outdoors.

On the photo book, Yamashita commented, "You can feel the contrast between the warmth and coldness of the earth," and "The staff and I did our best to deliver the gentle light we felt on set."

Besides a Regular Edition, the photo book will be released in a Luxury Limited Edition including a DVD, poster, and postcard.

Rerun of musical "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying"

It was announced on Sep 4 that there will be a rerun of “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying”, the musical that Massu starred in last year. It will run from Nov 20 to Dec 7 at the Tokyo Theatre Orb, and from Dec 14 to 16 at the Osaka Orix Theatre.

The cast looks pretty much to be the same cast from last year, with some changes - such as Yuduki Fuuka replacing Sasemoto Rena as Rosemary, Finch’s love interest, for instance. Another notable addition to the cast is Kurosu Hirotsugu as Bratt, as Kurosu has worked with Massu on “Only You ~Bokura no ROMEO & JULIET~” previously.

Massu’s comment:

I feel very happy and blessed about the rerun.

The role that I play, Finch, has been acted and loved by lots of people in the previous versions performed so far, including the film version. I wondered how it would be like to play a role like this (that has had so many versions before).

In the previous run, I think I managed to create my own version of Finch bit by bit, through the atmosphere the fellow cast members created at
rehearsals, and the various things that I absorbed over time, like the songs and dances.

Finch is a cheerful and straightforward person, that is not going to change, but since this is going to be a rerun, I could take a different approach (to the role). There are new additional members this time, so I hope to be able to do my best to make use of all that I’ve learnt from the previous run. It’s a powerful work that requires giving all our energy, so the energy at rehearsals with the rest of the cast is amazing.

This time, Finch also has to work his way up the company as best as he can, so every performance will be a battle. Please come join us at the theatre if you can.

On September 5, Yamashita held his first online live 'TOMOHISA YAMASHITA First Online Live ~Beautiful World~' where he performed this new song. It was produced by UTA with the theme 'beautiful world and not so beautiful world co-exist by supporting each other.'

This will be Yamashita's first song to be released on music subscription services.
