Rihanna will be lucky to have half the recognition and success than Britney has had.

That's the only person they showed on camera...I'm sure there were tons of people laughing, because it was so ridiculous to watch.

The important thing is Britney seems better, more put-together, and in a better place. <3

Britney's fans didn't win her those awards by voting online. That's how the nominees were picked, not the winners, a committee decides the winners. I don't think PoM was a great video, but most of the other videos nominated sucked too (except MC's). I suppose it makes up for when she was robbed for videos like 'Toxic' and 'BOMT'.

Nice to see she continued the tradition of stealing Xtina's thunder

News Flash...

MTV was doing damage control for itself. It got a lot of flack for having Britney on last year when she was obviously in a really bad state. It got a lot of flack for pulling her in just for ratings due to that.

MTV got her back on the VMAs because it's such an awful show that has no relevance in the music industry now; because MTV is RealityTV. If you look at the list for ratings, back in 2006 they were at a low, 2007 (Britney) brought the ratings back up, 2008 (Britney) the ratings were even higher because people wanted to see.

MTV is definitely using her as a ratings cow.

They awarded her because of three possibilities: She deserved it (not based on her previous work. She was up for JUST that video/song, nothing else.), she was being catered to for coming and for fan satisfaction by receiving these as pity awards (have you seen her fans lash out at her never winning?), they were doing it for their ratings and damage control both parties for Britney's 'true' comeback.

Regardless to all the makeup and gorgeous dresses, Britney needs to focus on herself more than her career. You don't bounce back as fast as she has and have your head on nearly straight.

Too many fans are expecting her to come back and be better than ever, and at that expense she may sacrifice her health again.

Well, she has won three awards, right? I'm really happy for her now, especially comparing her current state (gosh look at that healthy aura from her this year!), to her state last year... I'm glad she's got things put in place! Britney was my favorite singer when I was 12/13... I still listen to her now, but whatever it is, I'll be supporting her!

Britney really deserve the awards no matter what I like the lyrics of her Pieces of Me (OMG that Britney shameless ! ! ) but the video is "OK"

yeah , MTV might be using her but that shows How Britney has huge effect on MTV's rating.

According to her Wikipedia page, Britter's new album in due for December, with the first single out in November. And yes, it does have a decent reference, Popjustice. I still don't know though.

First Single "Womanizer" Is Slated To Hit Radio On September 22nd

Jive/Zomba recording artist Britney Spears announces her sixth studio album, Circus, set for release December 2nd (which is Brit's birthday!). The first single from the album is titled "Womanizer" and was produced by the up-and-coming Atlanta production team The Outsyders. The album release date coincides with Spears' birthday.

On the heels of an MTV VMA awards sweep, where Britney walked away with three Moonmen awards for "Video of the Year," "Best Female" and "Best Pop Video" for "Piece of Me," Jive Records is preparing her latest album, Circus, a follow-up to her critically well received album, Blackout. For her latest effort, Britney has enlisted a stellar group of established producers/writers that include Dr. Luke (who wrote and produced the album's title track, "Circus"), Danja, Max Martin, Bloodshy & Avant and Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Alanis Morissette, Bjork).

Britney Spears is one of the top-selling artists of the last decade, and to date, she has sold in excess of over 85 million albums worldwide that include Baby One More Time (1999), Oops!...I Did It Again (2000), Britney (2001), In The Zone (2003), and Blackout (2007), eight #1 worldwide singles and four consecutive #1 albums.

The Zomba Label Group consists of record labels Jive, LaFace, Volcano, Verity, GospoCentric and Fo Yo Soul. These labels represent a varied group of artists including Justin Timberlake, R. Kelly, Usher, Tool, Ciara, Chris Brown, Pink, Britney Spears, OutKast, Kirk Franklin, Three Days Grace, 311, Nick Lachey, T-Pain, Byron Cage, Bullet For My Valentine, Buddy Guy, Living Things, Anthony Hamilton, Donnie McClurkin, John P. Kee, Fred Hammond, Hezekiah Walker, Marvin Sapp, Kelly Price, J. Moss and Backstreet Boys.

She has a lot to live up to with this CD, unfortunately. Blackout was amazing.

From the grainy sound in the video leaked of her dancing, if it is Womanizer, I know she'll deliver. The song sounds hot.

^ For sure. Blackout was jaw-dropping! But I think "Circus" will have a lot in common with Blackout, just a little more polished. But the night before that video of Brit dancing hit the net I had a dream with Brit's new song on the radio and it sounded a lot like the song that was in that video! It was HOTTTT!

P!nk's new CD is called "Funhouse" and Brit's will be called "Circus". What is this, the year of the carnivals?

Well "Womanizer" is a really cool song name. Sept. 22 is so soon; I can't wait to hear it. I'm sure it will be great. Even when she was in her crazy stage (Blackout), she still made great music. Now she's at least somewhat better than before, if not a lot, so it'll probably be really good.
