Akanishi Jin to make his U.S. debut in November

Singer, Akanishi Jin (27) will distribute his new song “TEST DRIVE Featuring JASON DERULO” in the U.S. on November 8th, officially making his U.S. debut. The new song will be a duet song with Jason Derulo. The track is described as an up-tempo R&B song.

Akanishi commented, “I’m happy to be able to receive this opportunity. I’m looking forward to sharing my music with many people.”

Though it will only be released as a digital song in the US, he will release the song in Japan on December 7th, as part of an upcoming mini album, which will include three other tracks. It was also reported that Akanishi is currently recording an album he is planning to release in the US next year.

Akanishi Jin finally makes his American dreams come true

On October 9, singer Akanishi Jin (27) announced that he would make his American debut with the American digital release of his new song 「TEST DRIVE Featuring JASON DERULO」on November 8.

Akanishi excitedly commented, "Having travelled across the United States, I'm excited to be given this chance to work in America. I'm looking forward to sharing my music with more people than before".

The new song will be released under the name "Jin Akanishi". The song is an up-tempo, R&B duet with popular young artist Jason Derulo (22) who reached number 1 on the US charts in 2009.

The meaning of the song title「TEST DRIVE」is "Why don't you give me a try? (go out together)". Derulo commented, "Jin is an easy guy to get along with. I really enjoyed recording with him".

The American release of his song will be by digital download release rather than by CD release. It has been decided that a mini-album including three different songs will be released on CD in Japan on December 7. His American album is planned to release next year and it is said that he is currently in the middle of recording.

Jin Akanishi looking forward to US debut in November

Jin Akanishi’s single “TEST DRIVE featuring JASON DERULO” will go on sale on November 8 in the USA, it was revealed on October 9, reports Asahi Shimbun and Chunichi Sports.

Akanishi’s single will be available on iTunes, but will not be available in Japan. Instead, Japanese fans will be able to buy Akanishi’s mini album, which will be released on December 7.

It has been reported Jason Derulo said he enjoyed working with the Johnny’s talent.

“Jin is a really nice guy and it was easy to get along with him. I had a lot of fun recording with him. I’m glad I was able to collaborate with Akanishi.”

Producers, the Stereotypes, also said they had fun working with Akanishi.

“We’d heard that he was a superstar in Japan, but he’s friendly. We want people to pay attention to his vocals.”

Akanishi’s debut had been delayed because the singer had spent most of this summer filming “47 – RONIN” (due out in December 2012) in London, which stars Keanu Reeves in the lead role. In between shoots, the singer had met up with producers and done little bits of recording.

“I’m excited about being able to share my music with more people, and I want to thank my fans for making this possible,” Akanishi said.

Kamenashi Kazuya, Anne, and Suzuki Fuku to sing the opening theme for “Yokai Ningen Bem”

it’s been announced that three main cast members Kamenashi (will play ‘Bem’), Anne (will play ‘Bera’), and Suzuki Fuku (will play ‘Berro’) will also sing the opening theme song. They will cover “Yokai Ningen Bem” which was originally the opening theme song for the anime series. The main theme song will be KAT-TUN’s new song “BIRTH.”

Kamenashi commented, “Though it will have different type of voice and melody from the original, I think that adults might feel some nostalgia. It’s a song where children could have new feelings.” Anne also said, “Since we all have different type of voices, I could not imagine how it would sound when our voices are mixed together, but it sounded great. Kamenashi-kun’s voice was something I have never heard before. Anyway, it became a cool song.” Fuku-kun talked about the recording, “I was happy to be able to participate in the song. Since Berro is a cheerful boy, I tried to say ‘Berro~!’ lively, and I also tried to sing with the feeling of ‘I wanna be a human’.”

In this drama adaptation, it will show a friendship between “Yokai Ningen” Bem, Bera, Berro who are feared and hated by humans, and a detective which will be played by Kitamura Kazuki. Emoto Akira, Hori Chiemi, Hirota Reona, and Agata Morio will also make appearance.

“Yokai Ningen Bem” will start airing on October 22nd on Nihon TV.
