OC was always more profitable than AS, I think we can even consider it as its own group, rather than a mere subunit. That' why they have comebacks more often.

by the way, the have signed contracts although they do not 'work' (?) i guess. do they get paid anyway? Because maybe the contract says so, or not?

I don't know if they get paid anyway, I don't think so, maybe that's why Kaeun is running a DJ career and Jungah a store and while simultaneously being a member of After School (with no activities)

I've seen Orange Caramel did a CF this month, and they have been also doing lives in small venues

Seems to me that they took the decision to end After School as soon as their contracts end and keep OC

A few weeks ago, if I recall correctly, Lizzy was featured in a magazine and she said she wanted an After School comeback.

But that doesn't mean or say anything though

I'd like for Nayoung or Yebin to join AS though

EDIT: I think Nayoung would be a good leader, unfortunately she's young so I'm not sure how that will work out with older members. Well, we all know UEE can't be the new leader since she's never present anyway, so.
