I think the problem is that Sexy little things is kinda cute in the original recording too. Contrast that with Ladies Night which isn't really sung that way at all but during lives... oi.

I like the cute voice in Sexy little things cause of the lyrics, it's kind of an irony/mocking. But yeah idk why she suddenly started treating Ladies Night like that. Same for STEP you.

Is it just me that feels Ayu's voice had some pretty noticeable changes with the years? I mean, if I didn't know her, I couldn't tell the person who sings poker face is the same who sings Free & Easy, for example and it's just a 4 year difference. Does anyone else feel the same way?

Yes!
You can compare the changes even within shorter periods of time, too!
Listen to Duty and poker face -it's like night and day.
Being able to listen to her vocals mature and improve while she developed her sound was one of the things that drew me to Ayu's music when I first started listening to her 12 years ago. At the time it was crazy to me how her looks between videos-singles-albums were so varied and how her voice sounded different as it went on that discovering her music could keep me hours on the computer.

I think her vocals from RAINBOW to MY STORY were my favorite.
Startin' gets an honorable mention because she just exudes power there.

I think in her early years it's noticeable from every album to the next,
but in recent years her studio voice is really stady for me...

For me her vocals from (miss)understood to Love songs are my favourite...

Such unnecessary drama. They're just fanning the flames. It's certainly not a secret that Ayu's been having weak sales. Nothing they're reporting is new. They're trying to make it seems like she's being desperate. Like Ayu has all this SNS and appears on TV and her previous single ~still~ only reached 143 ranking. And how Ayu's background is like deep purple and poisony looking and Amuro is happy and rainbowy.

It's reporting the differences between the two, and what Ayu needs to have a comeback. Though that's not written out. Although it seems to be implying that Amuro is behind a "veil of secrecy" and Ayu is the complete opposite, so that might be what they're getting at.

Basically:
Last digital single ranking: Ayu #143 / Amuro #1
Kohaku: Ayu quit herself / Amuro still gets offers but chooses not to go
Private: Ayu uses Twitter and instagram and is very open / Amuro almost never discusses or shares private things
Media: Ayu still appears occasionally / Amuro seldomly does

now that she said that due to her problems with ears she sometimes can't even walk in a straight line I understand why she said she can't ride a bicycle back in 2002 at Hey!Hey!Hey! (http://eneabba.net/ayu/video/other/0...eyx3-jul02.htm) I also remember how people stated that she's a liar cause she rode a bicycle perfectly in her old Idol promotion video.

I actually wonder that as well................if she had dizziness or vertigo from her original ear trauma that affected her balance? Since she mentioned it in her TA entry the other day that she had vertigo and vomiting I wonder if it was like that at that time, too?
