Because star tattoos have been a gay symbol for a long time, it started back when you could not be openly gay in many countries and areas so gay guys could notice other gay guys while the general public didn't know. There are straight guys and women with them, but generally it IS the main "gay tattoo"

Shuya already straight out answered no when someone asked him whether he's gay on twitter XD But I guess some people still doubt it. I know I sometimes do.
