And about the whole registration issue, I take back what I said in regard to Ayu.
My husband and I registered our marriage at City Hall but we had our ceremony and reception a year later after our first child was born. So overall, by law you are married but the "ceremony/reception" is just a fancy way of celebrating your union with your beloved. I'm not sure what her case was, but my husband and I were officially married without a proper ceremony. My mother did the same thing.

i'm wondering how long they've been engaged. i know she just told us about it, but they could've been engaged for like a month now and decided to have their marriage on the 1st.

if they just got engaged, it's definitely kind of questionable why they got married so quickly... i know Avex said she isn't pregnant, but didn't they say that about Ai Otsuka and she was preg anyway?

that's a relief, but alot of people are going to be confused and think they're really married now.

How are you getting that from that link? When you register the marriage you are married. You register so that the marriage is recognised by law

No. You have to get a license first and register before the ceremony, at least here in the US. It's the law.

yeah exactly. She is legally married now.

Besides you don't get a license to get married from a chapel you do that through the government before you register
