Yeah, for those who are so deeply offended that someone would open a thread like this.. like there are more interesting threads open in the "Ayu Chat-Room" at the moment... Threads about purchase counts and recent Ayu items you bought... y'all got the nerve to tag this thread with "cool story bro". Thanks for reminding me why I don't post at this dump anymore.

I actually do agree with Zeke, if there's depth in the conversation, why not. Most threads not having depth die off anyway.

Moreover, people don't seem to understand one thing. Naoya doesn't have the same level than Ayu. So Ayu have to do something than Naoya can sing without problem. She stands next to the same tread of the singing stair than Naoya. It's why the song don't sound as good as her masterpieces. but as ohsixthirty already says, she did her producter work: a Naoya song & not an ayu song.

So you can't compare an Ayu song & Dream ON. If you want to compare Dream ON to an ayu song take poker face & not a song she did some years after her solo debut!

Well "ANother song" is going to be Ayu's song... on her album... if it was produced to fit Naoya.. then there's gonna be a problem.

I never minded Ayu's vibrato much but sometimes there are cases where it totally ruins the song/cases when I can't stand it... Examples include: Curtain Call and Thank U.

"Dream ON" is far away from being one of my favourites, but I still think it's a decent song, even though I don't listen to it very much.
But I really like the PV!

Still...I think that Ayu's and Urata's voices go well together. I'm looking forward to their new duet!

The thing is, I respect it if someone hates a song, but starting a thread with no basis for discussion seems to be a bit weird. But let's not jump at each other for disagreeing! We're all a bit jumpy because of waiting for a new release I guess. And come on, you can't really be surprised that the mood in here would be negative. It's a negative thread start.

It stays a duet between two singers with a different level! & as we don't have the song yet, please don't be already pessimist! As it's Ayu feat. Naoya, she'll have the main part. Maybe the song, we'll be totally different from Dream ON. We don't know!

Since I really like Dream ON, I was kind of offended and started to write some angry reply. But then I thought better of it. I don't care if people don't like it and I look forward to ANother Song and the duet with JUNO. I'm happy that Ayu is doing the things she wants and is not trying to please people with her decisions and songs. I bought the single & DVD and I also like the video. I actually prefer Dream ON over the horror that was MOON/blossom, that was some single I could've done without. And comparing Dream ON to ourselves is a little farfetched, don't you think?

as for dream on.... I don't mind the song, it was something different from her, I quite liked it, it's not amazing, but not horrible either. Plus I wouldn't judge it like that, it was her first time trying to be a producer, and she's not a professional in this. And comparing her solo songs to Dream On is a bad idea, because all of them are born with help of spec professionals of that field so it's kinda not fair to compare someone first work with the one's who's working with that stuff for half of their lives....

and BTW I totally don't mind threads like that. I mean we can like as much as not to like..If we keep like a bunch of civilized and mature people, nothing should happen.

I don't count it as one of Ayu's own songs, but it's okay to listen to once in a while.

Not people - just me. And I don't hate it. I just think, especially blossom, is a boring mish-mash of previously released songs. I never warmed up to this single and up to this day, I still think it's a mediocre release. A lot of people love it though and you do as well and you have every right to do so and defend it. If people hate Dream ON, I think most people hate it because of Naoya. It is Naoyas single and not Ayus, you don't have to file it under her releases and you can easily forget about it, if you want. If it was only Ayu singing the song - I doubt people would really bash it that much. People seem to be posessive of Ayu and the thought that she is working with other artists, like Naoya, JUNO or even just a photo shoot with Lady Gaga, is making them angry because Ayu didn't really collaborate with people before this. And if it's not their favourite artist she is working with, it is hard to accept. I understand that to a certain extent - but in the end it's really small minded to think that way and when people start to bash and badmouth the other artist the line is crossed.

I dislike the song, cause it's really bad to me, not because it isn't an Ayu song, lol.
Don't know about the others though.
(and I love, love blossom by the way, though I dislike MOON)

I didn't dislike it, didn't like it either. It's just one of those songs that I thought "Oh, ok. Nice I guess" and then I never listened to it again, after those 3-4 times. I think I really loved it at some point, but that feels really far away now. I wonder why that happens?

Well, there you go, everyone has a different song they like/dislike. I don't doubt that there are people that honestly don't like the song for different reasons, but imho it has a lot to do with Naoya. It just feels that way, especially after reading what everyone had to say after the FIVE announcement and loads of comments like "OMG-why-another-song-with-HIM?-I'd-rather-have-insert"PIKACHU-GACKT-Whatever"
