Arashi performs “Wild at Heart” on ‘HEY! HEY! HEY! Music Champ’

On the March 5th broadcast of HEY! HEY! HEY! Music Champ, Arashi appeared on stage to perform their new single “Wild at Heart“!

Along with their performance, they held a brief interview and talked about how they celebrated Sakurai Sho’s birthday on the last day of their tour “Beautiful World” and gave a surprise present. The members made their own version of Taboo and came out with cosplay of mini suka police to surprise him.

Wild At Heart sold 251,868 copies on the 1st day which's so far the highest 1st day sales for their singles o_o

NTV live broadcasted their special music program “Nittere-kei Ongaku no Saiten Ongaku no Chikara 2012” which was to support recovery efforts for the Tohoku earthquake, and various artists sent out their cheering up songs for the Japanese nation.

A new CM, featuring Arashi, for Japan Airlines titled “JAL ARASHI LABO Gakuya + Sora Tobu Juutan” has began airing on March 10th.

The CM starts with the members’ in their dressing trailer discussing their desire to go on a vacation. Then Ohno Satoshi brings a flying carpet for the members, and they go on an imaginary trip riding on the carpet.

【オリコン】嵐、月9主題歌で33作目首位　B’z、あゆに次ぐ歴代3位

　人気グループ・嵐の37thシングル「ワイルドアットハート」（7日発売）が初週55.0万枚を売り上げ、3/19付週間シングルランキング首位に初登場した。嵐のシングル首位は、「PIKA★★NCHI DOUBLE」（2004年2月発売）から26作連続、通算33作目。

　シングル「通算首位獲得数」はB’z（通算45作）、浜崎あゆみ（通算37作）に次ぐ歴代3位に。「連続首位獲得数」記録では浜崎あゆみの25作連続を上回り、歴代単独4位に浮上した。

　本作「ワイルドアットハート」は、メンバーの松本潤が主演するフジテレビ系月9ドラマ『ラッキーセブン』の主題歌。初週売上は前作「迷宮ラブソング」（昨年11月発売）の53.0万枚から2万枚増となった。

2) Jun Matsumoto congratulates Shun Oguri on getting married

With news going around about actor Shun Oguri and model/actress Yu Yamada getting married, Arashi’s Jun Matsumoto released his own message of congratulations on March 12, reports Daily Sports Online.

“When you told me about it, you were glowing. You’re so cool Shun Oguri!! Listening to you talk about it made me really happy. I hope the days you will share together in the future will be full of happiness. All of us friends will be there for you too. Let me take you out some time to celebrate!! Shun Oguri-san, Yu-san, congratulations.”

Matsumoto and Oguri are good friends and have worked together for the 花より男子 (Hana yori Dango) drama series.

Arashi to light up Tokyo Tower

Popular group Arashi announced on March 13 at a press conference for Fuji TV's 'Hana Arashi' campaign that the Tokyo Tower will be lit up on March 16 in the Arashi colours.

The top of the tower will be bathed in purple, yellow, green, red and blue light. This will the first time that the tower has been lit up with five colours.

Matsumoto Jun (28) gave promotion for his currently airing drama 'Lucky Seven' saying that the last episode will be filmed during the lighting up and that 'the tower will be appear in the last episode on March 19'. Ninomiya Kazunari (28) followed this up saying, 'Next we'll light up Aiba's family house'. Aiba Masaki (29) entreated him to stop, 'Stop it! You'll cause problems for my neighbours'.

The campaign will last for a month from March 16 to April 16, and will include the Special episode 'VS Arashi ~ 2012 Haru no Arashi Matsuri' as well as six other programs.
