Sunrise/Sunset.
Eh, you know why. Party Queen. Ok so.. as much as I respect her whole ~a lonely queen~ concept, I can't really like them. I pretend PQ have that picture of Ayu wearing the purple dress and the crown on head instead  .(miss)understood CD Only Ayu's got a beautiful and cute smile. People who made (m)u cover ruined it, totally.

(miss) understood - because she was taking such good pictures at the time, so idk what the heck happened. Party Queen - no thanks. A SUMMER BEST. - Mostly the cd only version. Yikes. again - It's not a bad cover, I was just really disappointed that it's a continuation of the LOVE theme and that it didn't have a more wintery concept. Singles Bold & Delicious - I just felt like it was so random for what her image was at the time and that it didn't fit the song. Sunrise/Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~ - The worst. Ever. Rock'n'Roll Circus CD only.

Omg... Secret was the absolute WORST album cover. They did a cheap photoshop of her body and made her look so strange. Her body looked so gibbled.
I also hated the Sunrise cover because it also looked cheap, or weird. Her body looked unnatural. Those were the worst in my opinion.

- FIVE (it doesn't symbolize ANYTHING. It's just another fashion shoot). - LOVE again (Only because Love songs has better covers with the same concept). - (miss)Understood (They're just not flattering). - Rock 'n' Roll Circus (CD Only; she looks a tad bizarre). Singles: - forgiveness (I've just never liked it; the special effects just look so tacky). - Sunrise/Sunset ('Nuff said). In terms of overall though, even Sunrise doesn't beat A SUMMER BEST CD vers. That really does take the cake. :/ Aside from those, I really like all of Ayu's covers.

MY STORY - only slightly, in that she looks hella old compared to her age back then.
(I adore the colours and booklet though) (miss)understood - CD only, I feel so uncomfortable just LOOK AT ALL THOSE TEETH. Secret - the stars and tattoo look really tacky to me and the photoshopping on her body just looks weird. LOVE again - this'll probably change in the future, but right now I'm tired of the pastel lovey-dovey theme. Memorial address - idk it just feels too yellow for me. I used to hate ASB but now both the covers have really grown on me (no idea why) I've never really been disappointed by any of her remix covers because I don't really expect much, although I really like her later ones (bar A CLASSICAL, reusing LOVE's cover just irks me) Sunrise/Sunset - possibly the most terrifying album art I have ever seen. She just looks...trashy, and not in a good way. appears - its just... forgiveness - everything about that cover just seems tacky to me. Personally I would've gone with a different image on the INSPIRE cover, and not used that texture on the cover for vogue. Together When... kinda irritates me because I always think she's got a towel on her head  I actually love the majority of her covers.

It just bothers me that only her hair covers her breasts. I don't care if it's artistic, I don't care if she actually wore some bra under that hair, but put some clothes on! If my mother sees this, she might think I'm listening to some porn. Ahaha. Secret I don't mind the blinding shiny stars, but the retorted photoshopped body is just no. No one looks that thin. And that hair... too thick like a wig. GUILTY What's with the sultry plumped-lips look and that weird-looking nail-claws? The orangeness gets to me the most though. NEXT LEVEL Dress' too tight, hair's too... I don't know. Frazzled? And the creepy orange contacts. Sunrise/Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~ The vacant eyes, the unfamiliar face, the tan, the strange light on hair... against a cartoonish, seemingly pasted backdrop background. A clueless-looking cover, which doesn't really portray the songs. Rock 'n' Roll Circus Ayu looks so empty and amiss, but it doesn't beat Sunrise/Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~. A fashion shoot, which I see as lack of ideas and concepts. And that includes any fashion shoot Ayu produced---the least she could do is shoot something related to the lyrics. Love songs The pictures're good, it's just that they're too... bright and pink? Filter out the pink and they'd be great. Party Queen One word: Trashy. Out of character too. Such a shame. I hate them and will continue to do so. A SUMMER BEST Sunrise/Sunset ~LOVE is ALL~'s twin sister. Who A-yu? At first look I though it was some latina. She could've done it like H. Spontaneity that captures that exciting summer feeling. This one looks muted and dull. again These don't have that Ayu feeling in them. And they look like they were just casual snaps, done in a hurry. A Classical The concept was good, the rip-off, used cover was not. If it was other picture, it would've made the difference. LOVE again The title was uninspired and lacks originality, but maybe that was intended. Anyway, the covers look like they were taken from unused shoots from Love Songs, minus the pink filter. Most of the covers throughout Ayu's discography are fine, but I personally think the quality goes down from GUILTY onward, just like her voice quality and her song choices. I am no longer that excited for new releases, especially with this mini-album deal going on, and the whole thing with LOVE again compilation. But who knows? Things can change. The future is full of hope.

I love her more outlandish and unique covers, such as RAINBOW. I loved the cover to GUILTY as well, and Next Level. And Memorial Address. <3
Honestly. Party Queen's cover was just offensive. I mean, Duty looked sexual, but it still had taste. Also, Sunrise/Sunset had a pretty lame cover. I also hated Rock n Roll Circus' cover where she has her head tilted to the side. She looks kind of awkward there.... I also don't care for A ballads' cover. Edit: I don't think Ayumi's recent covers, though I don't hate them really, are as strong as her older covers. The reason being is that Ayumi was a trendsetter with her old covers, now she's starting to become a trend-follower. I cannot tell if she's really enjoying her new covers or not, save for Five, which really captures Ayumi's uniqueness. When I look at the three most recent covers, LOVE, again, and LOVE again, I think they look way too overused. There's no mystery to these covers. They're just pretty.
