This album is excellent though, so I don't just put credits to it being "oh, it's Justin Timberlake". Apple made a complete album free listening preview when it was still up for pre-order and I put it to play just out of curiosity, but not really expecting much tbh (I just wanted bakground music to study)...however, I was really amazed by every track on it. It was long hours of really enjoying what I was listening. In the other day, I decided to play it while my bf was around doing some work on the computer and, he's really not that well informed into american music (i doubt he can remember any JT song from memory, and he was really not aware it was JT playing, and he probably just associates JT with N*Sync fro memory), so after a couple of tracks he asked "Who's that? Those songs are so good! Really nice", so his opinion was really unbiased lol. I'm already awaiting for my CD to arrive.

But I understand what you mean that, had it been someone with less fame, this album would probably have gotten lost into oblivion, since I actually got to preview the whole thing because of the publicity.

Received my album today! I had pre-ordered the regular version.

"Guess what?" (THAT GIRL pun)

I received the Deluxe version instead haha

I absolutely adore this album. The best musical masterpiece I've gotten the past year. The songs flow so well. The whole album flows so perfectly and I don't really dislike any songs.

You probably know this but for those who might not know:

20/20 is a medical term used to define persons with normal central vision acuity after testing their ability to distinguish (by means of resolution) letters, numbers or symbols through a chart displayed either close or at distance (Snellen chart). This is why there's a machine used by ophthalmologists/optometrists (phoropter) to chose the best lenses in the album cover lol

The marketing and promotion for this album definitely helped with the sales. Props to JT and his crew!

Can't wait to go back home and buy mines! There's a lot of good music this summer, I might just drift away from JPOP for awhile

Suit & Tie grew on me finally. I'm also really digging Tunnel Vision and That Girl and Dress On now.

I hope there is another surreal track like Blue Ocean Floor on the album. STILL obsessed with that song. Sharing it with everyone I know to convert them into Blue Ocean Floor-ism.

Boring.

But then again, I didn't like Suit & Tie at first either.

Feel a MJ vibe from him on that one and apparently I'm not the only one. Vibe and a few other places think so. It could mix well with Don't Stop Till You Get Enough and gives a general Off The Wall vibe. It's not bad. Just feels like it needs something more but I'm not quite sure what.

Saw his performance on MTV VMA's, and wow, it was amazing! After the performance, my interest in his music went really high, and I can't wait for his new album!

The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2 comes out today

It was an easier album to digest on the first listen than the first 20/20 Experience. However, the melodies on this album are kind of weird. But I really like TKO, Take Back the Night (both singles which I disliked on first listen), Amnesia, and Not a Bad Thing+Pair of Wings. I haven't reached the bonus tracks yet but getting to it soon.

Still kind of sad he didn't make another surreal ambient track like Blue Ocean Floor but that's okay.

I'm waiting for my boyfriend to buy me the album

I wanted to listen to it fully when it officially came out, but I've heard so many great things about it!

Alright so I listened to the album twice in a row.

Timberlake obviously rushed this one completely. I don't care what anyone says I'm really disappointed with this second experience. The melodies are really lame and the song lengths are just annoying now. For the first album, the lengths at least had some sort of charm to them (Mirror, Strawberry Bubblegum). But on this album they're just annoying because there's nothing unique about the second half of all the songs. And can Timbaland stop wailing in the music he produces? It was hilarious the first time but now it's just ear-grating.

I do applaud him for trying new genres with this release (Drink You Away has a country sound going on) but his execution was poor. Can I also comment that the lyrics and phrasing on this album were poor? At least try your best to rhyme, Timberlake. At least that'll keep me interested.

But, I do say that TKO, Take Back the Night, and Amnesia are really well done songs. I also like Not a Bad Thing / Pair of Wings to an extent.

But overall, just a poor, disappointing release. This should have been called, "The 20/20 Experience Outtakes" or something. So keep your vision on the first one, and approach the second one wearily.
