Also I think it's true that ayu doesn't listen to her own music. Cause we'd be seeing a lot more variation of older songs in her concerts. That's just what I think

As for Ayu listening to her old music..I know she made a comment (Twitter?) about watching back concerts...but albums/CDs, I'm not sure. I would say probably not in her free time, but perhaps they revisit her discography when looking for influence for future albums..? I've heard a lot of nostalgic themes in her last few works. But that's just speculation on my part.

And Then forever and ever! <3 And LOVEppears is one of the best albums ever, even just because it's where Ayu mastered her "squeaky" voice completely, she's high pitched, but in total control, unlike somewhere in A Song for xx. It sounds so raw and honest to me.

I think she once said that she said she liked Franz Ferdinand?? I can't remember when that was but I would estimate it was pre-2010

I'm anticipating a new release. I just feel like it would be great for a big release close to, or on her birthday.....

Yeah, I remember her saying that she doesn't like to listen her songs. She said something like: "I hear it every time when I'm at work. why should I hear it at my private time?"

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I read or heard these words somewhere

^If I'm not wrong she just listen or watch her own stuff for working purpose... I would find strange to know about an artist that keeps consuming their own production... someone like that have some vanity problems IMO.

^A lot of people share that sentiment but I don't necessarily agree. If someone is consuming their own product out of narcissism then that's distasteful. But I could see someone wanting to hear a particular song they made because they have good memories associated with it or it makes them feel good for whatever reason.

I've never seen that to be the case though. Most musicians get tired if singing the same songs over and over...

Well, that's different than frenquently listening to your own material because you think it sounds so amazing.
