(lookin back over the years) Gee, I switched genres a lot, rap used to be the best in the mid 90s-late 90s, its just crap nowadays. Play the same songs I don't like over and over on the radio stations around here. Plus these songs are so uninnovative, recycling old songs and remixing them or using annoying sound effects or voices repeatedly. Listens to more rock, jpop and jtrance now.

Old skool rap were the better days. They have the talent to speak the truth and rhyming with excellent flow. Nowadays is just all of these new slangs and making sucky rhymes that talked about their rich life which get so repetitive like any other artist would say. I started to like more rock. ^_^

Well, the mainstream rap/hiphop is, but there's a whole world of other hiphop out there. I'll mention Cannibal Ox, Aesop Rock, Mos Def, Talib Kweli. They still speak the realness.

Metal overall and power metal to be specific, it the cheesiest form of metal then progressive
Powerl: Helloween, Dragonforce, Stratovarius, Earth, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody Progressive: Symphony X, Fate Warning, Shadow Gallery, Dream Theater, Kamelot Other: Iron Maiden, Naplam Death, Opeth, Children of Bodom, Emperor, Behemoth Video game music for the fact I play hell a lot on certain occasion almost 10 a hour a day on new game other an hour a day.

im going to have to vote 'other' here.
im pretty sure my favourite type of music is the type that blends traditional sounds (from anywhere in the world) with modern musical elements. i guess some people would call that global fusion or something like that? not really sure.... but i especially love it when its blended with electronic stuff. electronic music is awesome.
