You know.. I like AYU's singing style much and I must say I love her "eeee" - like memorable "iii" in "End of the World" It's like when she start to singing in english - sounds strange and weired? Yeah and what - her style is original and as Lovia said "its her trademark (...)"

I love that song!
I got a solution though to whomever can't stand the hi "iiii"s. I modified her pitch in a program so it sounds lower. It sounds like her voice during a concert.

I also like it when she goes "erhee" rather than "eeee" in her lives. It sounds more powerful.

The "iiii" is okay, sometimes its good, but in the car witht he wind blowing, and the music is playing just fine, and then suddenly its IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII its kinda uhm, grating?

But on my computer it sounds great and powerful!

But I wonder how Ayu reacts when she listens to herself in headphones? And all of the staff? I think a computer could fix that, but maybe Ayu doesn't want that?

Hm..

i think the 'iiiiii's are nice
and when you mentioned 'aaaaa's & 'uuuu's
i think of Voyage:

'kono tabiji wo yukundaaAAA'
'hora egao gaaaAAA'
'totemo ni auuuUUUU'

Lovely?

Sometimes the 'iiiiiii's can be hard to listen to, but it's just her style. Most here [in this part of the world] would try to cover up something like that with computers, but Ayu chooses to show us what she can do, there's no pretence of being something she's not. I like that honesty.

I love End Of The World as well, very much, but the 'iii's really hurt. Ouch.

I don't know about you guys but personally i love the "iiiiiiiii" from any of Ayu's songs, especially FOR MY DEAR. That song alone can surpass any songs of Ayu with the "iiiiiiiiiii". And i love FORGIVENESS cus i love listening to the "Iiiiiii".

Now, looking back at my favorite songs, i came to realized that all my favorite songs have the "iiiiiiiiii" in it.
