[REACTIONS] "fairyland" PV

I was dissapointed by this PV. After seeing the alterna PV, which was fantastic, then hearing about how much money was spent on this, seeing it was kind of anti-climactic. I kept waiting for...something. Something spectacular to happen.

I understand the meaning of summer coming to an end, burning memories, etc., but it was pretty boring, IMO. Ayu looked lovely as usual, but the rest for me was kind of blah.

Gorgeous scenery. Maybe not a lot of symbolism but it is a gorgeous pv.

Lovely! It's a very beautiful PV, with very pretty scenes and all. It was shallow, compared to alterna, but they are so different, hard to compare them. I was hoping more with that amount of money, but I loved the PV anyway, very beautiful and refreshing ^_^

I agree. Fairyland is one of those, wtf? type of PVs. Like... what and why would you still create such horrid videos for kiddies to watch? She's starting to use the same Recycled Trash (or RT for short) as before in terms of quality/time spent in videos.

Examples of RT: Greatful Days, Hanabi Episdoe II, Inspire, and lets not forget the biggest topic I was known for, Forgiveness (just 4 of her recents within a year frame.)

This video started off reminding me of Surreal then immediately turned into Greatful Days/Inspire. Only good part in it was when she was in the water with all the flowers. Everything else was basically a waste to film and produce. This song had semi potential for a good video, for once she could have made a happy PV with some good story line or something. Instead of party on an island then watch your cabin burn down. Could have been more deep like Moments and if it was something more deep for a happy song, would show she has some talent to make something like that with such a song.

I'm personally a fan of the song but ovbiously not the video.

The pros to the video: Pretty flowers, pretty Ayumi, nice alphet.

Cons: everything else

Potentials: Okay Surreal intro might have worked or a completely different intro. She could have made the storyline (from what I've read it's a fairyland that doesn't last forever correcto?) so something a little better than dancing men and women thru night and day because honestly, if I was in a fairyland I wouldnt be dancing all day. Though dancing is a sign of happiness. She could have used like a Garden of Eden type of thing, very exotic very surrealish(not the video surreal either) something so pretty/extreme it would seem like a fairyland. Not sure on what could ruin it, perhaps time/weather would decimate something so beautiful. Or even something with a lot of people being who they always wanted to be and wanted to do then towards the end show that things aren't what they seem and turn out complete oppisite of what a fairyland should be. Something/anything better than that PV.

mm the garden of eden sounds like a very good idea for a PV
It is quite similar to INSPIRE, and I think its because of the same director (which im not too fond of)
But it was beautifully shot, but it could have been alot better.. and more meaningfull.. so why does ayu's PV have to be so negative lol

It's a really nice PV... but I expected more. It's not as meaningful as alterna and I consider fairyland as pure eye candy. It's not one of my favourites and IMO it looks too much like SURREAL and INSPIRE.

absolutely beautiful !
people are always trying hard to find defects in ayu's pvs, that's bad..
i think the director did an amazing job.
this single is awesome cuz both songs and even the pvs have completely different moods and styles.

I agree with some of the stuff you said...it just seems like they put so much hype into this PV with the money figures and such, only to have it come out with a mediocre storyline and shots. There were some good things in it, but I at least expected it not to use "burning the house down" as a way to end it. It seemed so...hm. I think it would've made an even bigger impact if they were dancing or whatever by the house and a lightingstorm came. Then they cged a lightning to strike the island and the end to look like the whole island was one fire. Then ayu and her friends run to the shore and float away on canoes while ayu does that "staring sadly and singing with burning memories flashing by"...that would seem a little more dramatic and sad, since it seems that's what they were going for. Plus, I thought that the "fairyland" was the actual island...not the house? They could always have built another one. Ahh idunno.

That's just my idea, but I mean come on. ALL that money. Maybe I'm over-doing it, but whatever. For what the PV is, I think it's still really beautiful. :3

Don't need to try to find anything in order to see the blatant. Nothing against you or anything, I'm just stating this video was not very pleasing at all. Then again, she has been coming out with a lot of PVs lately I suppose, and usually one PV gets all the time spent to it and the rest (even for a lot of money) get very little time in it.

At least now Ayumi can actually dance and look sexy while doing it. In her earlier times, I don't even think she knew how to move her hips o.O

I think the majority of Ayu's fans don't know how much money was spent on the pv, so I think they will enjoy it a lot more not waiting for some exotic explosion of colors and images like we were. Well, I still liked fairyland .

so what costed so much, the house that they had to burn down? it wasn't a bad pv, she looked gorgeous in it. it just didn't really make sense. there were a lot of "wtf" shots in it that threw me off, but pretty over all. i liked alterna better though. but the studio version of fairyland was much better than the live. oh, and it's a lot better than inspire.

true.. but the scenes of the house burning doesnt relli suit the song.. shes singing in a high happy voice, but at the same time in the PV she looks sad and singing in a sad tone..the PV was very pretty but pretty meaningless.. i love the alterna video alot more, even tho its kinda creepy!

i don think teh house burning was made out to be a sad event, just the "all good things must come to an end" expression.

i thought it was pretty good...i dont think any other PVs have been as visually attractive as this one..Ayu herself looked amazing and the scenary was beautiful . I think most of the money went to the contruction of the cabin...and then they burned it down..--"

It was alright. I liked the dancing...

The moment where she was watching the house burn down seemed a bit cheesy. And I thought the video seemed a little amateur at times, 'INSPIRE' was a much better PV.

i loved all the scenery and camera angles. gorgeous PV indeed. i liked the 'alterna' PV better though.

I really cannot describe this PV. No words to really describe how much I loved it! Personally I loved it WAY better than the alterna PV. The alterna PV wasn't really my kind of PV to watch and please me; fairyland was. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, and even though symbolism wasn't huge in this one, I didn't care. This had to be my most favorite PV yet! Ayumi was beautiful in fairyland (cute outfit!). Bravo!

i agree..i thought the video made perfect sense..o.o They were having fun times and good memories...but it ended with the houses and the pictures burning blahblahblah... The music doesn't match too well but the lyrics do.
