singapore never tell us the exact no of copies. but it's selling better then other j-pop and k-pop singers, whose albums never gets into top 10. excet boa who do gets in, but she does not stay there as long as ayu does. ayu was on the chart for around 9 weeks for My Story!

^ Yes that's true. Most of her fans have gone a long way - they've been around for years and they're pretty much die hard XD

It's always nice to have random fans though, don't you think?

Actually I haven't been around for long...But I'm definitely trying to make up for lost time!

Sometimes, I wish Japanese music is as influential here in Singapore as Taiwan. The J-music level in Singapore now is falling and falling. You know what some of my friends say, "Japanese music is outdated. Korean music is the trend now"

~_~

I can't stand ppl who treat music as a trend, it's not about fashion pls.

I think I went off-point. What I mean is I just wish more ppl here can appreciate Japanese music so that Japanese artists like ayu will ever plan to have a concert live here (I missed her during mtv asia awards 2002 >.<) Japanese artists often go to Taiwan and Hong Kong but never Singapore -__-

yar, i agree with u. Of all the people i noe, very few listen to Japanese music (the only japanese singer they listen to is BoA and most of they feel that ayumi is outdated). Sometimes i really wish that Ayu can hold a concert in Singapore though i noe that it is impossible. However, i still hope that this will happens

Good points, tinyppl, I always feel like smacking people twice on the face with a smelly trout when they say stuff like that. No one's said anything about Ayumi being outdated to me though, but people ask me why I buy CDs that were released quite a while back (which I don't see any logic in).
Korean music isn't the trend, I don't think it was ever the trend. It was mainly dramas during the Korean craze (which frankly speaking has died down quite a bit already).

Seriously, they treat it like a trend? I hate that. A lot.

It's like, when one person does it, the rest have to also and when the trend dies, they go follow each other to another 'hot' trend at the moment

I like Ayu, because I do. She'll never be 'outdated' to me

Yay for Ayu! (I'm glad to say I contributed--my mom is in Taiwan and bought me the CD+DVD with the photobook! I can't wait until she comes back with it!)

Sometimes I wonder if I'd ever be able to focus solely on her talent rather than being a trend-follower if I had gotten to know her earlier.

I guess most of us here aren't a big fan of trends then. "Me too" is not our style!
