Startin' PV discussion

yea the pv is ruined for me knowing that it isnt so original. its more of an eye candy video for me. also, i dont like how she presented herself. it seems very koda-ish to me and if she did it in purpose its only because koda is the hot thing in japan right now. i was hoping for more of like the step you video...ayu was very attractive and sexy but without all the rubbing on people and cheap dancing. umm...great song though...that's what really matters.

the ayu from 4 years ago owns ayu from 2005/2006 its sad but i see the end of ayu soon

I dont really see how lame this PV is, it's actually quite cool if u compare it to Daybreak PV which was plain + boring... =____=

I loved this video~ Hamasaki wsa so hot and sexy. Yum! Yum! I think people in Japan will probably like the video since they're currently in love with Koda Kumi, and she likes to show off her dancing moves in there. Although Hamasaki wasn't really dancing... LoL. Since you know it's fast-paced with lots of eye candy =).

All the pretty colors! I love it love it! ^^;;. I could watch this video over and over. I especially love the drill and motorcycle bits. ^^;;.

I think Ayu was GREAT in this PV! It's quite a breakthrough in fact! Though I would have to say the video did lack a tiny little bit of originality, but it makes up for it with this entire NEW ayu image that has never been seen before! Ayu's really really pretty and sexy in this new PV, so I have no qualms about it!

The fast paced PV and the rather erratic elements make the PV all the more great!

.. My first thought when the file started playing..
".. Did I download the right thing...?" o.O;; .. then the guy on the screen in his AWFUL blue suit came up.. and I had chills running down my spine because it was just. so. awful.
I certinally wasn't expecting her to be wearing pink butterfly glasses of all things.. although it almost made me burst out in laughter (I didn't though, I might have scared my 8 month old.. lol!) at first.. they do look rather good on her ..as my 5 1/2 year old puts it "Ayu looks cute"
Her backup daners.. and her dancing for that matter when she's on the little platform thing whatever that is... it's just.. awful imo..
On a totally unrelated note.. what is up with the overly boring nails lately? Seriously.. Ayu used to have such wonderfully cool things done with her nails.. but lately.. it's all been extremely boring!
and the motorbike scenes.. well.. ermm... at least she looks really sexy in it right?.. I really like how she looks with her hair blowing back and all that.. and she looks really good in that yellow suit..
I've never seen britney's 'toxic' nor do I care to.. as I don't like Brit... but the thought in my head with Ayu walking through the fire was "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Sephiroth!"... don't ask. Just something about it...
The black Ayu looked pretty good, although I'm not 100% loving that dress, it's nice and all.. much better than anything she wore for her countless B&D live's .. so it passes the test in that regard..
the end had me shuddering in ick all over again, why the two guys Ayu?.. why? unless you purposely wanted to have the annoying sterotypical ghettoish whiteboy with his friend in a music store talkin whatever they're talking (.. like I can understand it.. right) for the sake of being cheesey..
.. I'll just stick to the "it's a Parody of crappy western vids" defense.. and at least she looked good most of the time..
so.. 8/10.. but only that high because she looked sexy most of the time, and I can easily ignore bad backup dancing (and bad dancing on Ayu's part.. she's a singer.. not a dancer.. she needs to not try so hard..).. and the stupid talking at the begining/end....
oh.. and I still like the song.
Much better vid than bold and delicious anyway.. but that one grew on me .. so soon enough I'll probably be having this vid as a regular in my playlist..

does no1 else think that the videos similarities to britney spears were on purpose? i couldn't help but laugh - it seemed to me that she was making fun of her the whole time. i mean think about it, ayu's so original and she's got her own views of herself. do you really think she'd copy britney spears? i don't.

i've seen a few interviews of britney in japan/ other asian countries, as well as some performances. she makes an ass of herself in asia and looks extremely foolish - i wouldn't be suprised at all of the asians dislike her. (and if they do not, then i'd like to know why)

The most random PV from Ayu.. EVER! The song dosent sound as good as the CDL version to me..

PV: The starting made me laugh, some video store guys then some announcer, the pop star going missing and breaking into the store..
At the 2:50 point (or earlier) when Ayu passed beside the car and the reaction on their faces XDD. Eh. She jumped off the motorcycle.. and like Kisarune said "SEPHIROTH!" That reminded me of Sephy too
It's very retro for me. But it's okay.. I love the guy that's dancing and the DJ too The ending: o__o; Her yellow suit-thing she wore on the motorcycle wasnt that nice x__x her black dress was better.

The video and the non-live song will grow onto me for sure. ^^

I LOVE the PV and everything...The black dress Ayu especially...At first i thot based on the CM she was in a rockers suit (the one where she wore in Game)..But no, that dress really is nice...

It was not boring for me...The whole idea was to see Ayu groovin...

Ayumi looks great in the video but I could've done without the talk intro and outro parts with the two guys because it didn't seem particularly important. I definitely understand the Britney (who I love) references because the outfit reminded me of "Overprotected" (as did some of Ayu's moves) and only the bike part fleetingly reminded me of "Toxic" because I love that music video.

Overall, I thought it was a fun thing to watch but the CG effects were definitely awful, lol.

I like the PV. Although it might not be very creative or original, I thought it was entertaining. And since Startin' is the song for a game I think the PV fits.

I liked it. It wasn't meaningful or anything but it was fun. Plus Ayu looked really sexy in this video. I loved how daring it was and how it had a fresh feel to it. Personally I really enjoyed this video.

you really do? funny, i thought i'd see the end of hers in 2004 with all the rockish stuff and such but i have the feeling that she's finally back on the right track.
she won't be that successful as she used to be in 2000/2001/2002 but she definitly does what she enjoys. during the rock era, i always had the feeling she wouldn't enjoy it as much as she used to when she sung more poppish songs.
but now, she becomes more respactable for me - AGAIN.

anyway, i really like the startin' pv and i think she was up to sth when she choose to copy britney and such because we (and the japanese) ALL know those scenes just too well...but i really enjoyed it. ayu's recent videos are really well done i have to say (i was stunned by ladies night for example haha).
during the my story time i had the feeling she was running out of pv ideas xD

Yeha, the pv's alright, but only because ayu loks so great in it.It does lack originality. The song is growing on me gradually, but definitely not a favourite.
But wait a minute: Hasn't she already worn that black dress before?
