Gotta admire Christina for working super hard on her material. Plus releasing so much. A double CDs album is really cool (I wish Ayu could so that). She's always giving a lot to her fans. Just like "Stripped" which had a lot of tracks also. I noticed that she disappears for a while, but that's only because she's working so much for her fans. I might not enjoy her music, but yeah. I admire her for that.

I haven't even gotten mine yet. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up a copy tomorrow. I saw her perform some of the songs on youtube from a MTV special she did. I love Candy Man. I can't believe F.U.S.S. though. At first I was like why even bother Christina because Paris needs all the help she can get. Now I'm like F.U.S.S. because he's acting (imo) like Paris can really sing compared to Christina.

Well Ayu releases an original album every year whilst it's been 4 years since Stripped.

I haven't heard any of the songs except Ain't No Other Man, but after initially hating the song, I really want to hear the rest

I'd personally prefer that Ayu disappears for 4 years and releases something extraordinary and wonderful than for her to come out with something mediocre every year.

So did anyone listen to the album yet? I'm considering buying it since it's 2 discs. I also like the look she's going for, so if the album has great pictures I'll probably buy it.

I thought that was what it was gonna cost when I got mine a few days ago. Wen the price rang up at the counter I was like (major, major discount ) didn't look a gift horse in the mouth though, know what I mean?

What a boring album

I was really expecting something awesome sine I'm a huge Christina fan

For starters, the album is way too long

If she'd selected a few tracks from each disc then it would've been a masterpiece

I like the whole vintage feel but it really starts to drag after a few tracks

Her vocals are amazing as always but the album sadly is not

I picked up the album yesterday and I have to say my reactions to it are very mixed. While I appreciate that the album is a lengthy, robust offering, I feel that the album suffers the problem most double albums do; there is way too much filler that does little to add to the album. In my opinion, they should have stuck to a single disk release and only keep the great or atleast worthwhile songs because the filler really starts to detract from the album. In addition, even though Christina inarguably has one of the most technically astouding and powerful voices in pop music, I still feel she oversings a lot. It's competely unneccesary and makes her vocals sound very showy and oftentimes Cabaret-esque, especially when combined with the jazzy, vintage feel of the album. I have to agree with cybermoomba, the whole 20's, 30's feel really does drag after a few tracks like you said. Certainly it sounds authentic, but the production is so repetitive and monotonous. Not only that, but I feel this type of music just isn't viable today. While I commend Christina for trying something new and interesting, I'm just not hearing the modern twist. Maybe I'm just missing something, but the album feels dated, even if intentionally, but she should have refreshingly gone "Back To Basics" while still remaining modern and relevant-sounding. I have a feeling the album will grow on me, so maybe in a couple more listens I'll come back saying it's brilliant.
