Is it just me or do her albums... not sell well at all unless/until there's some huge publicity stunt?

Or maybe it's just the case of In This Skin that got me wondering.

People are sick of her at this point (the tabloids aren't, but their job is to spread misery about Hollywood and make readers sick of people, I... think) - it's kind of unsurprising they would ignore the album. I think Simpson Family Hate is on the rise. People just don't want to keep reading about her love life or Ashlee's plastic surgery. Their images with the public are really very low - Ashlee's in particular after Saturday Night Live, and I'm sure Jessica's has been steadily dropping ever since the dumb blonde bit on Newlyweds.

I guess... if she EVER drops out of the spotlight for a bit and returns with an album sometime later (again, with no spotlight for awhile), it'll be easier to make a judgement call.

Too bad. Strangely enough, I liked it quite enough.

Yes, she should probably go on hiatus. Or keep on releasing proper nice stuff. Her singles so far from APA are excellent. She just needs to take out "Fired Up" and she might get into the top 10 with a pop song.
