imo, Black Cherry had its' very high points (the singles) and very low points (album tracks minus Get Up & Move!!) while Kingdom didn't really have that (it was pretty constant)

The PVs were very different from each other, at least compared to the Kingdom ones. I just feel like there really isn't any variation on this new album. Perhaps it needs time to grow on me.

But I just had to chime in that I think Black Cherry is full of great songs.

I have to agree with you. I thought Black Cherry was much better but I do like half of Kingdom.

It's more consistent than Black Cherry, but not in the "every song is awesome" way. While Black Cherry had very lacking album songs, the singles are far more stronger than Kingdom Singles. Unmei is quickly becoming one of my favorite Kuu songs and Koi no Tsubomi is the kind of Cute song that I like from her, plus it has great composition and arrangment. With your Smile is very strong as an upbeat song. Even Yume no Uta and Futari De are growing on me.

I would probably describe Kingdom as mediocre or lackluster just because I don't have any other words. It's not unlistenable. While the album tracks are better (Himitsu, Under, Amai Wana) I felt there were way too much fillers.

And the PVs, bravo for the flashier affects to make them not look like they were made on a shoestring budget, but it seem like these amount of PV were made just so Avex can say that they have every PV for every song. Instead of focusing at making three or four PVs, they did 14 PVs that at best are mediocre (Amai Wana, Himitsu, Under) and at worst boring or downright tacky (Wonderland, Koi no Mahou, Anata...).

Single-wise:
i think that Cherry Girl/Unmei is totally uncalled for (same as anytime). i LOOOOVED 4 hot wave ('cept that it didn't have instrumentals, but i wasn't too heavily bothered by that). Koi no Tsubomi is one of her best songs, as was Yume no Uta. Futari de is ehh...
can't say much about the Kingdom singles except that i love them except for ai no uta >(

I HATE THE CD+DVD AND CD+2DVD COVERS FOR BLACK CHERRY. HATE HATE HATE. if i could, i'd buy the cd+2dvd with cd-only cover <3

album song-wise:
there was more material on black cherry, which is sorta good. (more songs to listen to XD) the only two songs i didn't like were WON'T BE LONG Black Cherry Version (HATE HATE HATE!!!! the original was soooo much better) and Candle Light (she sounds too strained here...) Milk Tea is SOOOO CUTE!!! the flow is kinda ehhh...
Kingdom had some nice songs, but after a while they sorta got repetative (listening to all of them at once). the flow was sorta random, too. black cherry had the crappiest ending that i have ever heard in my entire life. i really don't like aisho as much so i don't really think it should be there, but my opinion

umm...i didn't really listen to black cherry until around BEST ~Bounce & Lover~ XD;; tells you where my hype was there

pv-wise
koi no tsubomi's cute. i liked it. not enough to go crazy over it, but it was nice. the 4 hot wave storyline made NO SENSE AT ALL XP JUICY gave me nightmares for a while XD; the yume no uta/futari de story is prolly the best out of the black cherry pvs twinkle was poorly done XP the amazing nuts! version was pretty good though. cherry girl's pv wasn't that good, seeing that i don't remember it at all XD and i have not seen unmei's pv
kingdom is just pv-crazed @.@; ok, here we go. introduction for kingdom did'nt relaly NEED a pv but it was nice. kinda relaxing. i don't like the spinny things though, it sorta looked...off...anytime album version is cuter than the original, since she doesn't really sing and acutally does stuff with the 'boyfriend' (THE BUNNY SUIT IS SO FUNNY XD) the purple outfit in FREAKY looked really good. i liked it. needed more action though =( the preview shot for it was so misleading...where is kung-fu kuu?! Under took a long time to get used to. something was off with it...it was sorta random. needed more black kuu scenes, too. ai no uta album version is slightly better than the original, but i can't really say why...it was sorta sadder in the end, which i liked. didn't make me like the song any more though >P MORE was nice, though the pitch-black scenery was so off...the pv sorta made it feel shorter than the song really was O.o; aisho is pretty but i still don't like the song. Wonderland is cute + trippy all in four minutes. i love it XD Run For Your Life had an interesting layout, what with all the comic stuff XD i also loooove the title. it's crazy XD BUT made me hate the song. then i listened to it and loved it. it was creepy. LAST ANGEL was nice, but i think it had potential for a 'storyline plot'. the story pvs are really weird ._. and made no sense at all...black cherry live SUCKED!!! ONLY 2 MINUTES?!?! RIP. OFF.

Kay, so I've listened to all of it and: It has it's good and bad and overall it's good.

I like most of the songs so that's nice but most of the PVs are bleh... I don't know why in heaven's name they used that PV for Ai no Uta; I liked the single version. Also, that short film was overdone to me.

I've yet to watch the concert DVD so maybe that'll be good too. =]

I thought it was good, but you could tell then that the quality was slipping with tracks like "LAST ANGEL" "Himitsu" "Anata Ga Shite Kureta Koto" and "Wonderland", but unfortunately those tracks are now epic compared to what she releases now. The album had some really good highs, like "BUT" "Aisho" "FREAKY" and "Under". It was a good album, but Black Cherry was a lot better.
