Mirrorcle World is not a recut single, it's considered as a totally new A-side.

I don't think so, as majority of the upcoming single contains : new material + re-recorded songs from other album.

Answering to the question, it's really hard to define. The title has changed from Mirror to Mirrorcle World, the song is now an extended version (even though even an extended version of an album song can be considered an aklbum cut).

We'll have a definite answer when her next album is released. If Mirrorcle World is featured on it, then it wasn't a GUILTY's album cut. If it doesn't, then it was.

I agree with you. but even if it doesn't appear on her next album, i consider MW as a new song. I know it's "only" and extended version, but she re-recorded it, it has new lyrics, it will have a PV, it'll be released as a single, so i think it kinda has left his GUILTY origins in the past

the excerpt lyrics from the MIRROR track have been kept though and weren't renewed. And the Daybreak album cut earned Daybreak a chance to have a PV.

As far as i know, a recut would have been to take a song, re record it and sell it. Maybe i'm wrong though

imo it just goes from prologue status to a full song. I don't really consider it a brand new song though. The added lyrics don't really make the song extra different nor do the new parts added to it; they just make the prologue Mirror complete now. Turning it into a brand new song would be doing something like LOVE~Destiny~ to LOVE~refrain~, same composition, but the lyrics are brand new and it has a different arrangement and pace. Mirrorcle World is nothing but an extended version of Mirror, slightly retouched here and there. The concept of the song is still the same.

imo that's almost like saying RAINBOW from A BALLADS is a brand new different song from track 0 from the RAINBOW album, just because the previous was incomplete. It was a sample, but still, the very same RAINBOW (just that back then ayu didn't change titles, because the sample was not on the actual CD but on a website you'd use the pass that came with the album).

That's all speculation though, so I could be totally wrong.

Seriously tho, I changed my mind. I don't consider this a recut single? Why? Because this is single is not used to promote GUILTY. It's used to promote Ayu's 10th annie. Remember that Recut singles are used to promote an album after it has been released.

I don't consider this single a recut single. Mirror is like a preview to the full version of mirrorcle world for me...just like RAINBOW was on RAINBOW to A BALLADS after.

As for the single, yea. I think Life and MW are used to promote her 10th annie. I mean, it's being released on her annie and seems kinda logical in a sense that it used to promote her annie. plus she rerecorded two of her oldest songs.

In all of Ayu's previous recut singles, Fly high, Kanariya, and Daybreak, she never rerecorded the vocals. They were all released with different arrangements, but the vocals and lyrics were identical to the album version. (Although the man was sorta taken out of Kanariya).

Mirrorcle World not only has new lyrics, but she resang the pre-existing ones. Therefore I think it cannot be considered a recut. And I would expect to see it on her next album, because otherwise it would be the first time that an a-side did not make it on to an album.

Even if it does end up being called a "recut" in the end, I still expect it to appear on the next album, possibly as a bonus track or hidden track.

Which is the same question I'm asking. Lately, I've been saving for other things than singles, but with this debate going on, it's making me think. I guess I'll buy it if the PVs that good, and I couldn't live without it.
