For the following reasons:

-Catchy winter track like Days, which is the typical song Japan loves and eats up, and which is of better quality than similar releases like stay with me or koi wa groovy (always imo) so if people are going to buy 1 winter single they will buy this.
-Itīs an A side, so 2 songs. Mirrorcle World only had MW promoted, and it sold a lot.
-4 versions
-New versions of old songs (nostalgic buyers)
-Cheesy, cute covers that collecters will love
-The whole 10th anniversary thing
-The proximity to the TV airing of the Asia Tour
-Ayu is doind very nice at lives promoting Days
-Cool PVs (even if GREEN is not that great is good eyecandy and looks expensive)
-The new "oldies" boom could affect Ayu, but I donīt think she ever had the "fall from grace" that Namie had.
To add to that list, shes also been touring the past 8 months with no new material. No singles, barely any magazine appearances, this is the closest Japan will get to Ayu taking a break. It's why I am predicting a popularity boom in 2009. Even though it was a short hiatus, I feel like they are refreshed and ready for her once again.

This will beat out Mirrorcle World.

About 150k in the first week. And in the second week, it would probably reach 250k if the sales are really, really good I think it would definitely sell more copies than Mirrorcle World

I agree. I think her popularity will boost in 2009. Avex is doing amazing with the tie-in with Dragon Ball, since it can attract young people, and thatīs exactly what she needs. And with Namie on tour... she doesnīt has competition (since Kuu is still young enough to attract fans all by herself, and Hikki plays in another ground). I think that she will be the top female diva for 2009.

If Ayu sold that much I wouldn't be surprised. After seeing how well A COMPLETE and Mirrorcle World sold offering very little of anything new, this might sell close to that total... of course that would be the "extreme" of it selling very well.

I would be. H and Voyage were the last singles to sell that kind of quantity.

Very very well. Even the number 1 single of the year this year hasn't sold that well.

According to my friend in japan, it's cos japanese people like variety so it's something of a marketing ploy. You realize only utada hikaru can sell 1 version of something, most others use this different versions thing to boost sales. She said that usually if they just see 1 kind of single, they lose interest.

By the way i think 750k sales is not optimism, it's impossible. The last time she sold that much was 2002 with H. Even voyage didn't sell that amount. I go with 1/3 of that figure

Better than Mirrorcle World, this single is alot more easy to listen to and radio friendly.

I'm sure Ayumi Hamasaki will make a boost in popularity in 2009 or 2010. No exception! She will be huge, most likely one of the most selling artist of the year, only behind some boy/bands. We have seen a trend and hint the past years, she will surely make a big boost in her sales (and they are already pretty high if you count other artists), especially in Asia. My mother was visiting Hong Kong last week, and Ayu's popularity was skyrocketing. Wacoal poster was posted all over the city, her music was heavenly played at the night-clubs and in the shopping centers. My mother even heard the song "Days" at being played at the local city radio station. She visited some huge electronic shop, and Count down live 2007-2008 was on repeat on the tv-screens("My all)".

It'd be great if Ayumi had a boom a la Namie. She's due for one, even though she's more or less been popular all this time.
