They didn't really do CMs for Kuu since Kingdom anyway... I'm quite sure NEXT LEVEL will get a CM though.

maybe they're waiting for overseas press before they start promotion...

side-track: jolin's new album was blasting over the speakers with special editions/normal editions ALL OVER the Asian Pop section at level 3. :x
hmv never promote the japan version, and it's hardly on the new release sections. They will only do that when the OS versions arrive.

so, jolin's albums are here already. do they have the version with the tees? if no, i'll simply wait till they re-release other versions then i'll buy.

one month is the MINIMUM time you had to wait for a AVEX overseas CD to arrive in S'pore! Sometimes it's longer and sometimes it's NEVER (e.g tomiko van's "Van.")

BUT Sony music CDs like e.g YUI, Mika Nakashima, their overseas/singapore version arrived in singapore one day after Japanese releases (i know that because that what's happened when i bought YUI's new albums)

You should add Anna Tsuchiya's NUDY SHOW ! , OLIVIA's Trinka Trinka & probably soon alan's Voice of EARTH to the list , Weijie

I think it depends on the demand & also how profitable the albums will be sold here

, Sony BMG's the best . They take really fast to get OS presses of albums ready & the quality's fantastic

somemore they tend to stick the PG sticker at the back & not at the front

if i'm not wrong i saw 2 or 3 versions of her new album. one was a rather big package. so i wouldn't be surprised if tt's the one with the tees. maybe u can check out at hmv hereen one of these days.

not sure about the os versions, but i'm 100% sure that hmv will import the japan cd only version, they had been importing her singles before.

but for the os versions.....VoE is the first cd of alan that taiwan had made an os version, her singles never had a os version before, so i'm not too sure whether local company will want to bring VoE in.

HMV used to be able to freely import CD + DVD of her stuff but after stricter censorship rules were implimented , all that have changed

Maybe they don't want the imports to cannibalize sales of locally manufactured CDs. That's why they only import the CD-only versions. But i didn't know the lack of imported CDs might be due to regulatory reasons, i thought they were just retarded in not knowing the demand for this stuff.

P.S. Hope Next Level comes out soon...

It's almost confirmed that they will import the OS press of 2CD+DVD to Singapore... no way will you find a Japan press of NEXT LEVEL CD+DVD/2CD+DVD here... the region codes of the DVD don't match.

No Elaine , it always has been the norm for HMV to import CD only versions of artistes's albums/singles , Japan wise

it's rare to see a concert DVD that's imported straight from Japan but it did happened for KinKi Kids's Domoto Koichi's solo concert & the DREAMBOYS DVDs because Universal's their local distributor here

I used to saw a copy of the Japan press of KAT-TUN's Live Of Real Face DVD on HMV Heeren's DVD racks but wow someone must have bought it

hefty price man , about $100 + . I guess that happened when EMI used to be their & ARASHI's local distributor

shame that EMI has closed its S'pore office here

yeah Japan's region code 2 & ours's region code 3 but like what I said before , HMV used to be able to import items with DVDs so freely from Japan but not anymore due to the stricter rules that the damn censorship board issued

I'm getting my Taiwan press / CD + DVD somewhere this week as it was released in Taiwan 3 days ago , either on Fri or Sat as mine will be out today by my Taiwanese friend Cliff after he finished work & I paid him last night

He's mailing out Jia Rong's copy too which's the 2 CDs + DVD . I don't want the 2 CDs + DVD as I can do away without the 2nd disc

I paid quite a reasonable sum to Cliff , at least he doesn't overcharge & go nut on the shipping charges unlike some idiot ebay sellers I know

^actually part of the reason why hmv hardly imports any japan dvd, is not really because of the cencorboard, it actually have something more to do with the customers.

HMV had numerous complaints from those who bought the JP dvd, but are unable to play them(coz they never bother to check the code/or don't know), then they will try to ask hmv to refund, but obviously hmv can't do so, as the dvd is perfect and working well, Japan side won't accept this returns goods either.
that's why to minimise all these unneeded complaints, they don't import them in, unless you place a deposit and ask hmv to import in for you, then upon ordering, they will warn you the code and blah blah blah~~~~
