well without considering the animes opennings...
I'll say : Ayumi's Rainbow... I was with my best friends on a car and one told me that Ayu was the ish and that I have to listen to that song... so he put a mp3 cd with a lot of JPop (BoA, Ayu and videogames OST) and I feel in love with Ayu and a few others this time... (it was during Carols era) |

Me too!Assuming that doesn't count, of course, then my first J-pop song was "Hikari" by Utada Hikaru.

the opening to slayers NEXT
still catchy! i must of been like 6 or 7? not counting anime openings it would be "boogie woogie number 5" by PUFFY. Saw them on TV while they were promoting their album in North America (see the much music logo Canadians )

My first Japanese song is Moonlight Densetsu too XD
For J-Pop it's Real Emotion by Koda Kumi... I was playing at FFX-2 at that time and I was searching for Jade's version, and I found Kumi's one XD

I was super young like Hayasaki (well, not THAT young) but it was either before or right after I started kindergarten. I think it was SPEED's "White Love" or "my graduation", DCT's "LOVE LOVE LOVE", Amuro Namie's "BODY feels EXIT", Puffy's "Asia no Junshin", or Kahala Tomomi's "I'm Proud".
Really good classics. I don't remember which one was first, but those were all around at the time.

Koishimasho nebarimasho (daita remix) by okui masami It's a great song! please enjoy it all the way to year hearts!
I came over it by pure chance while searching for traditional japanese / asian music for a performance. I was completely hooked after that. Last edited by *Petit*; 7th October 2009 at 02:43 PM. |
