I really don't understand Kumi's management. While it's not really important, Ai wo tomenaide has no chance of getting #1 on Oricon and #2 is questionable too :\ She hasn't had a #1 single since Alive/Physical thing. I wonder why they don't care about position when it comes to her

^Suki De x3 was #1 on the daily charts. Only #2 on weekly though. Does that still count as a #1? Who knows? 4 Times didn't do so well on Oricon which is maybe why they're giving Ai Wo Tomenaide more promotion. It would be nice to see it #1 on Oricon but I'm not too worried. As long as it dosen't go below #5 hahahaha.
Here's the link for the HD blu-ray rip of Love Goes Like... PV for people who wanted it. ![]() http://www.mediafire.com/?6o8lzcbscdu8nfi

^Yeah I suppose it's the weekly that actually counts. ): I'm happy Ai Wo Tomenaide is still at #1 though, it seems to be doing quite well!
![]() Speaking of Ai Wo Tomenaide, I'm listening to it right now. At first I really didn't have much interest in it (Which was a kumi first for me!), cause to me it sounded really generic, and still sounds a lot like her older ballads...but since listening to it a few more times I've grown more and more attracted to the melody, and the lyrics are beautiful. ![]() ![]() I still think You Are Not Alone will be my fav though. ![]()

Watching Love goes like... again made me watch a bunch of her vids during her peak and I forgot how amazing those times were.
While some may beg to differ, since Koda's peak, there haven't been any other female singers experiencing the same amount of attention. I want the Jpop industry to pick itself back up again. ![]()

Also her vocals are amazing in the whole recording. I really wonder when they did record it, cause with all touring and promoting her voice wasn't up to par almost the whole year. Weekly sales for 4 TIMES: 49* 2,035 倖田來未 Total : 70,555 Don't know if 4 TIMES promotions was bad, it was onesided for sure, performing just one song. Maybe bad considering it was her 50th. With Ai wo tomenaide it's her yearly ballad single and they normally do promote it pretty well...but even Suki de/Anata dake ga was a double a-side last year and she just performed Suki de out of it. They always have one head song with every single for Kuu. I don't care if she gets weekly #1 on Oricon, though I would be happy about it. Her sales are the thing that matters and those are stable. And cause she has no streak or anything and Avex never pushed her for getting #1s everywhere, they just take one release date and go with it like always. Her release dates are more connected with her schedule and promotion issues like e.g. the movie premiere for Ai wo tomenaide.

Perhaps not living in Japan doesn't give me a lot of right to say this, but being a music consumer of the current age of music has given me this idea: perhaps Kuu's success with digital charts and not so much with physical sales is due to her much younger and "hipper" fanbase. Not only has Kuu kept her fans from the earlier stage of her career, but she has attracted a much younger crowd, one that only downloads music. I don't buy CDs of my favorite North American artists. I use iTunes. I only have Japanese CDs because that's the only way yo support them from Canada. And adding to that, she has no streak for avex to worry about its like, why bother? In comparison, since some one decided to drag Ayu into this, perhaps on of the reasons she sells best physically, but not better digitally is that her fans are the same crowd that has been with her since her peak, and they are CD buyers. I've noticed that with Japanese fans, there are more older Ayu fans, as old as 40, where are Kuu fans are in their 20s and younger. And I honestly wonder, not to be negative toward Ayu, would she still have her streak if avex had just let things be released whenever, not caring about the weekly competition?

^I don't mean to bash Ayu at all either, but I agree with you 100%.
And today I was surfing on generasia because I was bored and saw that Kuu is not the record holder for best selling female solo DVD anymore. I began to wonder who did actually sell more? Kuu did sell over 330,000 copies with secret -first class live- and now someone has sold more. There was no info about who it was and it annoys me because I'm so curious. XD Does anyone know about this or was what I read just some troll crap or something? ![]() |

I think it was there before, too, but I am ultra happy that 小さな恋のうた is in this tour
![]() Even though I am not so excited yet, I can't wait for the DVD to come out. I always get most excited when I have the real thing in my hands and can "experience" the whole concert. ![]()
