I don't know if any other male Ayu fan is in the same case, but as Ayu's products are mainly designed for girls, I feel like... a manly man who buy Barbies and Little Ponys -___-'
I think it's even too girly for me! (Glad I didn't order that version lol!). There actually used to be a thread about guys and Ayu fandom that was really interesting but I don't know what happened to it.

Sorry, no collection pics. Just a short notice @Heavenly and @~angel*ayumi~. There's absolutely no guarantee that there'll be no customs if you order at YA. Five of my last packages went through customs check and I had to present an invoice everytime (boy that was expensive...). The only positive thing is that YA refunds what you had to pay for customs.

Yes there is no 100% guarantee, but in 8 or 9 years I order at YA now I had ONE package at the customs, and I got it all back in YA Credits^^
For CDJ I only had one packahe that was not held by customs, and I don´t get the tax back from CDJ =/

I thought I was the only one having these issues lol
I've been pretty discreet with my Ayu (or J-Pop, in general) stuff - I don't necessarily "hide" them but I don't overly flaunt it on non-J-Pop people.

I never had issues with taxes for my J-Pop stuff either.

I've only ever used CDJapan and I've never had any customs taxes or problems.
I think it's cuz canada and Japan are free trade buddies.

I stopped using CDJ after customs charges and the price of CDs going up meaning I was over the "limit". I've been using YA since the end of 2008 and have not had any customs charges.

In Norway the custom limit is 36USD before they screw you over and charge you 10x times as much. I once mailed YesAsia if they are willing to put a lower price on the package or mark as gift. They said no. But they always do anyway. Never had a problem, EVER. And I've bought a lot of stuff there.

Do you know why Avex used this type of 2CD boxes for LOVE again?
Because usually for a CD+DVD package they use the kind of 2-regular-CD-case-thingy (I don't know if I'm really clear lol).

Here's an image comparison to understand what I mean :

CD+DVD/+BD of LOVE again (like CD+DVD boxes of HK and Korean editions of other albums) :

CD+DVD of Party Queen (regular CD+DVD boxe, like all other albums in JPN and TW editions) :

Is it because of a budget cut or something ?

I think its the budget too. Though I would still prefer the thin 2CD casing like LOVE and again had.
Even the booklet quality is different. The cover is thicker while the inlets are thiner fragile paper. But not sure which is the more expensive material.

Nope, I have it in JPN press and it's a 2-discs like other albums.

Not only does the lyric booklet feel cheap, but the photobook's back logo isn't centred.
