Their albums and singles continue to sell well within what can be and she is earning more money for a thousand reasons.
Concerts, publicity, brands etc
An artist of his stature being bankrupt is very unusual if she spends the money as it should be.

True, but I think there is a point when you have THAT MUCH MONEY, so you basically will always be rich. I mean I can't imagine what I would do with 1 million $, and her net worth was what, 400 million+ dollars at that point, so when your at that point, you would have to do something REALLY stupid to lose that, so she will always be extremely "hard to imagine" type of rich

If she has all 400 million invested, even at 1% interest, she would be getting 4 million a year in, just from her own money. Plus money she is earning anyway. So she could stop working and live really very comfortably! What she might not have is a lot of money hanging around that isn't in investments so she might want to sell the house to get cash to put towards a place in LA?

I hate these meaningless conspiracy theories. It's clearly because of all the time she's spending in LA; when she was in Japan, she had a choice of two (maybe even three?) places based on her needs. But now she's spending most of her time in LA so what does she need so many homes in one place for? Even if it was 50% LA and 50% Japan, I doubt she would spend that much time moving around between the Japan homes.

I think she's just selling the house because she's barely in Japan anymore, and when she is it's usually for business and not to go to relax at Zushi, she probably prefers to spend her time at LA with her husband now...

US celebs move around all the time, you hear on TMZ and ET a bit. I think she just wants a change of scenery, probably downsizing and wanting to focus on her relationship. She seems to be focusing less on her career and with having a short tour and giving the reigns of creative control (of the tour and the album photo book) to someone else. Maybe she's considering a break? But regardless what she chooses or does, I'm supportive of her
