uhm.. in my little city would be impossible to find some Ayu fan ^^ but I know of other Ayu fans into Galicia (my region into Spain) I met in person with Beatriz (she's from Vigo, 40kms away from my hometown) but she doesn't want to join AHS cause she says don't know English (ok my English is so poor and I'm here Bea) and I also know there is another one from A Coruña (140kms away from here)... during AT09 also met some fans in person, including members of the French fan group "Ayusphere" (the ones in the making-off of MW) before her first live concert in Osaka (April 21), it was fun to talk to them and see all these awesome pictures they took when Ayu stayed in Paris.

I would LOVE to, but I don't!! Some people I know, think that Ayu's music is nice and okay, but nothing more! They're not die-hard Ayu fans like I'm! <3

I introduced them into the j-pop through Ayu, but they have been discovering other artists, but still love Ayu ^^ I know a few Ayu fan around Catalonia too, and I've met them ^^ I know there's a lot more... but it's difficult to find them, not everyone goes to the internet and join forums...

Does it count if I'm the one that got them into Ayu? XD

Okay... I'm gonna use names to explain how many of my friends like Ayu (and J-Pop) even though their names won't mean anything to you guys just because it'll make it less confusing to read. haha

Jennifer -- She's probably my friend who's the biggest fan of J-Pop. She first heard J-Music when watching HYD. She fell in love with Ai Otsuka's 'Planetarium' and then I introduced her to Utada Hikaru and Ayu. She's now a pretty big fan of Ai, Ayu, Hikki and DBSK. She actually registered at this forum not too long ago under the name _CryingLikeAChild_

Megan -- I got her into Utada and Ayumi, both. At first, she really didn't like J-Music and only liked to listen to me sing 'talkin' 2 myself' because she thought it was funny. XDD But then she slowly became a casual listener of Ayumi and then Utada. Now she's obsessed with both. (also registered here under the name megissocoollike, but she doesn't post)

Nicolette -- She's been my friend since before I discovered J-Pop and she sort of became a fan with me. She's not as big of a fan as I am but she casually listens to both Ayu and Hikki. I just got her an Ayu poster for her birthday.

Nicolette and Megan are both attending the NYC Utada concert with me in February as well as a friend of Megan's called Rosita who doesn't really listen to J-Pop but she likes it. And she's a Japanese-American.

Nicolette, Jennifer and another friend of mine called Dhatri all bought Utada's 'This Is The One' when it came out. A few of my other friends bought it as well, but I'm not close with them.

Also, I know of one girl at my school that casually listens to Ayu, but she's a huge ARASHI fan. Her sister too. I actually just had a conversation about GREEN with this girl a couple days ago and whether or not Kanjani 8 is really going to be a threat to You were... / BALLAD. xD

So yeah... I have a lot of friends, acquaintances and even enemies that listen to Ayu and other J-Pop. I just happened to get most of them into it.

p.s.
Don't go assuming I live near a high concentration of Japanese-Americans either. hahaha I live in a town that's really small and probably 90% white and 9% black (1% or less other.) Not diverse at all... There's a few otakus too that I didn't mention because I avoid them like the plague. :O

Unfortunately, I don't have any real-life friends who like Ayu.
However, I've made some people listen to Ayu. They enjoyed it though.

No...no one I knows listen to the same type of music as I do. Most of my friends are into hard rock/metal, or they listen to Croatian pop.

Not a soul. I have never met someone who likes Ayu.
The problem is that a lot of the Ayu fandom in the US died out because she didn't have any exposure besides Dearest, her signature American song. Another thing is that everyone loves Utada instead.
