after doing some graphing and some basic alg 1, i came to a conclusion that the final price will be 98.2681906 million Japanese yen, or 838,251.25 USD. How? I used the slope to find the average increase a day (this includes that huge jump), and the price increased an average of 54,950.08 a day. So i multiplied it by 4, giving me another increase of 219,800.32 USD, adding that to the last given amount (618,450.93 USD), I got 838,251.25 USD.

For those that don't want to read all that, I estimate the final price to be 98.2681906 million Japanese yen, or 838,251.25 USD.

according to Xe.com (the converter I use.. which may not be the same as other converters)

$1,118,891.50 USD
.. I wish my jeans would sell for that much if I signed MY signature on em!

I believe the auction started at 1000yen, but the first bid was 48,000yen.

.. but, I am worried.. the high bidder of the auction has -4 as a feedback rating.. which means s/he has a very bad history with paying for items s/he's gotten.. or bad at sending things out it sells.. hope an honest bidder wins..
I am glad this is for a charity.. it will be such a blessing that the money can go out to help so many..

130 035 000 Japanese yen = 1.11074597 million U.S. dollars

courtesy of Google.

My estimation was only measuring the fact that the bids would go at a steady rate. Even I never thought the bids would spike again. My estimate is off, but it didn't anticipate spikes. Just casual bidding like before
So I guess people REALLY want this pair of jeans.

In response to Qt Mashi, the highest bid was $14,000. There was also an auction for her bra, if I can pull that up...

EDIT: The bra peaked at about $47,000 before being pulled off.

Well its dropped a bit...back in the $800K USD range. I suppose the previous bidders' negative feedback caused his bid to not count.

WTF!? it's nearly a billion yen??
950,145,000 JPY = 8,178,566.82 USD

there must be some mistake....maybe heshe accidently added an extra "0" in the end

or could this pair of Jean be one of the world's most expensive jean?

Most probably. I am extremely curious to see how much it rises to in the end.

With the bids fluctuating (or being cancelled), I think it would be prudent to wait for an official announcement of how much the jeans were sold for. Someone in an earlier post mentioned that it seemed like people were bidding higher just to push the price up (possibly without intent of actually paying).
