Yup, I agree.. give Bold & Delicious a break. My overseas friend doesn't go for Ayumi songs that much but she loves Bold & Delicious Mature-ly upbeat is a prettty apt description

Not me, if I don't like something, I won't buy it - I haven't bought an Ayu single since HEAVEN single because I just haven't liked them much, songs and PVs. I'd rather buy something where there's a lot more that I like, an album, or tour DVD I'd really rather spend my money on something I'll use, rather than something I don't like and won't use.

^^me too. Usually, whenever my dad gets paid, he lets me have money for the internet, and so i use that chance to buy CDS.

i just bought Ultra Blue, barely. He says things like, "You can have $25 INCLUDING SHIPPING..." but I always go over...

I've been recently trying to support Ayu more. I bought HEAVEN, (miss) understood, BLUE BIRD and startin'...I should have bought fairyland when it came out...i want it now. However, I have a strong belief that there is more to support than just buying her things.

I am happy that avex decided to have that price fair thing. All Ayu's older concerts, like the Stadium Tour 2002, and Dome tour 2001 are all like $26.00.

^ true. but my way of not supporting is not buying her single. rather than not supporting ayu herself. haha if i think that a single is not worth buying, as in the content is not good enough. i have not bought any single since STEP you / is this LOVE?.. but i will buy all albums and concert DVDs!

O_o; Being a vegetarian shouldn't be compared with being a music-fan.. O_O

I mean, if you don't like one song, then don't buy that. Buy the album XD

The last thing that I bought from her is STEP you single. Nothing much from then on.
But i will always buy her concert DVD.. Other than that, I have no idea why i've stopped buying her albums and singles. Lost interest probably?

I'm not too worried. As long as she has that 'core fanbase' she won't be disapearing anytime soon.

I don't buy her singles, but I do buy her albums. Maybe I'm not very supportive in that way, but I definitely believe in Ayu. Even if some songs disappoint me, I will not stop supporting her. I know that if I don't like a certain single, I will probably like the next one.

We'd have to be millionaires to have collected all her discography including rare stuff... So I think that as long as you buy just Ayu's albums you're supporting her very well.

I really don't get it either. I don't see how (miss)understood was such a sucky album. :/ Sure the covers were ugly, but it's the album I listen to most and it is my favourite Ayu album. However, this year I'm not too happy with her material, but I am sure she will do something amazing soon. :3

I have no doubts (miss)understood will reach one million, but it will take awhile, just like A BALLADS. Over one million copies of (miss)understood have been shipped already, so eventually I'm sure actual sales of the album will reach one million.

Usually I don't mind when people have doubts about her sales just because sales really don't matter all that much to me. Whether her album sells 870 000copies or 1 000 000, its pretty insignificant. However, I do get really offended when people say the quality of her music is declining. You don't have to like all her music, but I think its completely ridiculous to say (miss)understood or even her recent singles are poor in comparisson to her older music.

For example, (miss)understood is by far my favourite Ayu album. It is a true showcase of Ayu's incredible versatility. On the album she handles a plethora of diverse genres with authenticity and panache. Also, while I wouldn't say Ayu's 2006 singles are my favourite, they are very solid.

Honestly, I don't mean to offend any other members when I say this, but I think why a lot of people criticise Ayu's recent music is because they are afraid of something new or different. I think that Ayu changes much more quickly than the majority of people and as a result some of her fans don't know how to adapt to her shifting styles. If Ayu's fans feel alienated or disappointed it's not because her recent music is subpar, it's because they don't have an appreciation for experimentation. Personally, I think that a true Ayu fan would commend her for not remaining stagnant.
