[Thoughts] BLUE BIRD PV - Page 4

The PV made me a smile a bit, which I think is the main thing Ayu / the directors wanted to achieve. I liked how it was colorful and cheerful, but I agree with the people here who say it comes across as campy and lazy. It's more of a video diary than a music video, I think. The opening especially looks like a home video, with Ayu alone bouncing around.

The dress Ayu wears when she's standing on the cliff or whatever is HIDEOUS. Otherwise she looks nice throughout. What's with the pile of pillows on the boat, though? I think that just looked silly. Maybe if they had done some more artistic shots with it, it would have become a cool piece of imagery, but since it's just sitting there with everyone scurrying about it just looks very bizarre.

I didn't mean CG to this particular PV. I just meant they could've used it and then done a totally different theme, cause a PV like this doesn't seem like ANY CG would fit. [shrug]

Ayu looked beautiful and there were some nice colors and landscapes. But seriously, no more beaches Ayu! We've seen them more than enough. I'll just get the CD only edition. Nice PV, but yeah, it's been done before.

Naoto's hair is WAY different, Hide's Hair is different, SHUYA's Hair is WAAAAY different.. so i'm gonna say NO! its wasnt shot at Hawaii

Hm.. okay because I think I had similar wording. Yes we all have different views indeed. I'm not entirely satisfied on the pv though I find it fun so I'm also hoping the next pv will leave us thinking more.

Well, duh that it's not gonna have a "emo" PV if it's a happy song. But there's other ways to portray a summer theme PV than a beach.

all i'm saying is that her PVs are way better without the CG.. and yes it has alot of CG

June? I think that that would have been too close. It's June 9th now, I don't think they could've made the PV+editing in less than 8 days. I think it was probably filmed either right before the tour/Startin' was released (so early March) or during the middle of the tour (from Monday->Thursday). It looked like the South Pacific to me cos of those dancers at night.

The PV did remind me of 'fairyland' but the PV did suit the song well. However, I like 'fairyland' a lot more since there was a storyline. I don't think the production budget was low or anything, I think it's pretty high since it was filmed (most likely) outside of Japan. It was just how they used the money. They could've stayed in Japan and do more creative stuff with the budget money that way, rather than blowing it all on the travel fare.

Overall, the PV is ok. Come to think of it, this PV felt like the what Ayu did after 'fairyland' burnt down.

But yeah, as some people mentioned, this has been the best PV so far into the year.

Lol, I'm not mad, I was just wondering. And really? When I think of CG, I readily think of forgiveness. [shrug] I think the PV works with the song cause she's all like, I'm sad but you make me happy and she's all like, the sun blinds me and keeps me from crying because I'm blind and stuff so she's wearing sunglasses. It's all relevant, just wish it was less 'vacation-y'.

Oh yeah, and one of the other PVs that comes to mind, is RAINBOW. I think that was the best PV she's ever made, and [I think] it involved some CG. What with the face swapping and stuff.
