Mine was by accident. I was listening to some Inuyasha mps's and the song Dearest sounded intriguing and then i heard the chorus of it then i got hooked.Then I started to listen to other Ayumi songs.

Well I Had a Friend and All he Ever Used to Talk about was How Much He Liked Ayu's Music and then I Started Getting into Ayu when He sent me a Review of one of Her Albums and said She's an Amazing Performer, So I Downloaded Because of You and I Thought, Wow this is a Really Catchy Song. So I Downloaded More

My cousin.

I went over to his house one day, and he was downloading the PV for Dearest. So I watched what was download of it. But, what really got me into her is when he let me watch the A MUSEUM he had. Right there, I loved Ayu :3

^I've seen threads being merged before... Anyway, I actually bumped into Ayu's music... However there was a story behind it... I remember that one guy (online friend) sends me a video and he puts the song Naturally in the video... I like it but didn't care about the singer... THEN I bumped into Ayumi's music again... If I am not wrong, it was evolution... Loved it and start "ayu-ing" hahaha

My first impression of her wasn't that special...she was the 1st Jpop singer I listened to, next to Hikki. I didn't really fall in love with her music until I bought her "I am..." album.

poker face turned me off a bit, but it wasn't really until she released For My Dear... that I was like OMG! I LOVE HER! XD Pretty much from LOVE~Destiny~ on, she secured herself as my Number One! EVEN BOLD & DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!! HAHA TO B&D haters!

I saw the PV of M on TV in 2001. I thought this girl was like a doll. Then I bought A BEST and got hooked. She's changed so much these years.

Oh since you're in Japan and a fan of her, can you say something more about Ayu? For example, how do Japanese think of her? Thanks a lot.

^ yep, I hated her voice back then because I was already a fan of Utada and I owned all Hikki albums.. >.> I found the whole album dreadfully dreary and all the tracks sounded the same. Plus I only found Angel's Song and Forgiveness partially accpetable. Mean, right?

^Huh? Lol, I liked Because of You and No way to say though... I don't like ANGEL's song and still doesn't like it now.. Sorry... I thought Forgiveness was good too but among all, Because of You is my favourite.. And you have all Hikki's album??? *Faint*... And you were an Utada fan before? Hehe, I am different from you... I liked Ayu then like Utada.. Now still stick to Ayu though... Utada, I kind of put aside her songs... ><

@truehappiness : I am not very sure about mini-album though.. I doubt it won't be release..

Does anyone know the mini album Memorial Address sold how many copies?
