Because the Japanese people thinks that using English is cool. About as cool as we think using Japanese is.

I Had a Email from TeamAyu That said "Hamasaki Ayumi is Always thankful for Supporting her" Somethink like that.
Probably an automatic reply if you tried to send her an email?

This is why Ayu had released Miss Understood.

Their would be no point is using English in a messge if she does not mean it.

Lol that was an auto message. Ayumi is a supermegastar. Imagine the amount of emails she'd get... You can't just reply to them all. That'd be a bit stupid. (No Offense)

English in Japan is cool. Girls in Japan wanna be American (ganguro girls). Notice how all the magazines in Japan have English half written on the covers?

Wow... what did this thread just turn into?

EDIT: Finally... a good post. Yeah, English in Japan is cool, but Japanese in English-speaking countries isn't for some stupid reason.

EDIT 2: Hey, I'm a Naturally Initiate! ^-^

That's just way too true.

But I bet that there's 'sensible' people in Japan, too, who look down on all those retards that try to use half English in every sentence.

That is about as kawaii as watashi doing it, ne?

Haha, funny. I don't converse with people I know in Japanese, so why should the Japanese converse in English when only one side of the conversation (half) knows it?

By the way, immel, seeing as you live in Sweden, I figured you'd have a Swedish keyboard... any chance of taking a picture?

You both made me laugh reading those posts

Yeah, Ayu comes to the USA becouse it may appear cool for a star to do so, she probably honestly likes New York, but that's all... she doesn't do that for american fans...

I don't think they are all that hardcore about it, I assume ganguro girls are a vast minority, a really extreme example, and they probably don't even associate thier style with california girls looks, despite that is its supposed origin.

I bet they don't do that, I'm sure the percentage of people who actually do know the language is really small. They just use the words which are heavily popular, especially when talking about popculture, except for that, I believe they don't use English.

And why would immel's keyboard look different? I have a polish keyboard, but it looks just like any western/english one... I just use alt + key to type the accents.

I do not Care about this Thread any more.
The Reason Why Ayu is so famous in Japan Is because she is well Supported. Unlike in Europe.

They are a minority, but you do see them every day on town, if you walk through Shibuya. Or just enter Shibuya 109... voilá.

All the girls in Tokyo did say BAI BAI~~~!!!, though.

Because in Sweden there are retards. Those retards invented Å Ä Ö, very cool letters. Those very cool letters has to be on our keyboard. So, they completely revamped it and put all the keys that you need at the most retarded places. Well, it's manageable, I've been thinking about switching to a English keyboard, but then my Swedish friends will whine on me constantly writing with a/o instead of åäö.

As long as you are happy I will be able to sleep normally. I will have a small celebration for you, and your blind Ayu love. It will be silent, and I will make a black cross on one of my hands.
