Thoughts on JEWEL full version.

i like it, beautiful. i don't care about climax, i care about songs that i knew i will still be listening to 5 years from now, without getting sick. JEWEL seem to be one of them.

i'm glad that there's not so many high pitches when she reaches those notes, like what she did in MS.

It's quite lovely. I am more impresed by it than I was with Blue Bird and Beautiful Fighters.

I think people even preferred HEAVEN to alterna at the time of release.. :O

I like this song but not the instrumental.
I think the instrumental music is too simple and weak...

I'm still having my doubts as to whether this will indeed be the version to be included on the mini-album.

But from what I've heard so far, it's a change in direction for her again, towards a softer and simpler sound. Her technique isn't textbook, but then again with her I never bothered about technique anyway. It's all about how she conveys her emotions in the song.

The beginning was really wonderful, and ayu's first phrase sort of sealed the song's tone. The piano accompaniment is probably the best thing to ever happen to an ayu song. Her vocals sound alot better than on BLUE BIRD and BF, reminescent of HEAVEN last year. Though it's a studio recording, it has a live feel to it, probably cause I don't think they polished it alot, and also cause there's not much bg music to cover it. Depite what others have said, I think the ending note was lovely, I wouldn't have wanted it to be held longer, it's short and sweet and exactly right ^^

Lovely song, look forward to hearing it again on best artist this year ^^

I was all 'OMFG ILL B UR FANBOY 4EVA AYU' but now I'm more calm.

One dissapointing thing is indeed the climax. There's nothing really climactic in the song, it doesn't change and it stays like it is. Which can be good or bad depending on the quality of the song.

Thankfully, the song is excellent. But I suspect this is mainly because of that amazing piano. Whoever wrote those notes must be worshipped. Ayu did great vocally, although I can't tell any difference. Certainly ain't no expert. End Of The World and Powder Snow sounds great to me too.

Overall, it could have been a potential single but the lack of a really strong hook is probably what made her/Avex choose to place it on the mini album as a normal track. In any case, it's still good. One of the best ballads this year with Koda Kumi's "Yume no Uta ~Quartet Version~".
