i don't know. doesn't look like they wanted to photoshop it out. I think it looks fine with her sitting on that towel. rather than seeing her sit on rocks. *ouch*

they left it in completely which is fine with me. it would be worse if they only half photoshoppped it out or did a really bad job at it. but that's not the case.

idk, maybe they did that "white light" behind the guy on a back backdrop thing...why does everyone take pictures on white backgrounds and then make them black? jeez.

Picaflor 7/4 The normal version has the white background. I think they were too lazy to shoot new covers for the special edition so they just did cut out him and put him in front of a black background~

They shoudl at least have done it properly

i think they did it on purpose for that michael jackson cover.if they don't do so,you'll never knew where is his hair

^ I don't think so. There's an outline all around him, it was just bad lazy Photoshopping. Besides, they have tools and options they could use to make him stand out e.g. outer glow or stroke.

I am fine with that either. If nobody mentions about that, I would not even pay attention of it. Jesus, you guys look every photoshoot so detail.

Probably not, but the special edition was released in 2001, and that's the cover we're talking about.

Sort of. But in terms of Photoshop, not really. They could add glows and precise background erasing with Photoshop in 2001. They are a lot of "advanced" looking album covers from 2001, and even earlier. The first that comes to my mind is "Fanmail" by TLC.

Not going to say things that can't be done in 2001, but in 2001 fish-lips on picture shoots were not generally accepted.
