i've lost interest in A LOT of female solo singers. i think the only ones i remotely follow are Ayu, Namie, & Hikki (...only j-pop). it's strange, because i used to only listen to females back then. they REALLY need to step it up, because i think the males in the industry are more innovative right now, tbqh.

alan - great start, but now she's stagnant, imo.
Nakashima Mika - i still like her & all, but i think her past releases are better.
Otsuka Ai - she became boring, imho. especially after "LOVE PiECE".
Koda Kumi - i used to be such a huge fan. everything post BEST ~second session~ has been a hit or miss (more misses though. but when she's good, she's good.) but i think she's definitely sold out too...i really miss old Kuu. :\
Arashi - like Mika, i just prefer past works. i really liked them when i liked them. (i'm getting this vibe w/ TOKIO as well. post-Harvest hasn't been that great)

Indeed. The older fans are prolly used to her rather slow release schedules and what could seem like extensive "breaks". It was pretty much the same when EXODUS was released and we had to wait for ages until Be My Last~

Do As Infinity - I really love their works before disbanding but I don't like their new songs.
ORANGE RANGE - I don't know what had happened but I'm getting bored more and more of their new stuff.
Otsuka Ai - I can't remenber any song after Pocket that I liked from her.
alan - "my life" was my biggest disappointment of the previous year.
S.H.E. and Jolin Tsai - I think I'm just tired of Taiwanese music.

Singers that I used to love, but now I don't care about are Otsuka Ai and Kanon Wakeshima. I don't check up on their releases, and don't download anything new from Ai.

Some singers that I'm not crazy about, but still download new stuff from are LM.C, Akeboshi, Perfume, Miliyah Kato, twenty4-7, Aira Mitsuki, capsule, YU-A and immi.

Ai Ostuka - her new stuff isn't going anywhere to me..
Utada Hikaru - I'm missing some of her older works.. can get bored of her songs actually
Kanon Wakeshima - totally lost the interest lol.

Jolin Tsai I think I can classify her as a dancer and not a singer, her live singing ability is weak, her voice is so-so; not impressing, and watching her concert, I'd say rather watching a dancing concert

Koda Kumi not a fans of TRICK, her short hair is so repeating and make her looks boring. Her concerts looks all the same to me, she's going into ayu's career I think. Thanks God she released UNIVERSE, I started to like her a bit more

Ai Otsuka as everyone said, she's not as cute as when her debut

hitomi as everyone said also, she need to come back, with a booming song like LOVE2000, and a big promotion

Thinking more about this, I have some more to add..

Gackt - I was never that into his music, but I did like a few songs. Kinda got tired of just those few songs, though.
DBSK/Tohoshinki - I more or less burnt myself out on them, to be honest. I listened to them constantly for a few months and now it's like I can only listen to a few of their songs now. T_T Purple Line, Mirotic, Survivor, Darkness Eyes and Bolero are pretty much the only ones. One day I'll probably get randomly obsessed with them again, though.
KAT-TUN - Same story as above, sadly. Rescue is still awesome, though.
Nami Tamaki - I just haven't liked anything since Reason. This may change, though.

misono I loved her music till Juunin Toiro came out. After that her her music got worse imo.
Nami Tamaki Before she switched the label her music was 100 times better. Somewhere really deep inside me sleeps the hope for a song like Heroine
BoA Her english song are very good but I don't like her japanese music since be with you beside Eien, this one is a good song, too

Interesting topic, though all the Hikki hate makes me so sad. I personally like her way of releasing singles. Since I became a fan her first single I downloaded was Boku wa Kuma and then Flavor Of Life came somewhere... beginning of 2007 I think. Then I had to wait for months for her next single and it was fun. ^_____^ I'm pretty much used to this. I don't care how much time she takes in order to make amazing music for me.

And about the artists I lost my interest more or less.

sifow, I used to listen to her music so much in 2007. After she went on hiatus I haven't been able to listen even one song. I still love her songs quite a lot, but I really can't stand listening to some of her songs these days. It's sad. :/

Ayumi Hamasaki, yes I still enjoy her music, and I'm interested in her again only because her new album sounds pretty interesting. But as a whole I'm not a crazy fan. Though I listened to her quite a lot in 2007 and in autumn/winter 2009, I still find myself getting bored with her songs easily. But I still respect her quite a lot, and I mostly care about her lyrics more than music itself. But as a whole I believe she will never become my top favourite artist again as I'm obsessed with Kuu and other R&B/pop artists more. :3 I also have to confess that I still haven't watched AT09 and CDL09-10 because I just don't have enough energy to do so. I want to watch both of them but I just don't have enough energy. -.- I'm complicated. Sometimes I get this strange Ayu fandom thingy for 1-3 days and then it suddenly dies. I even deleted most of her discography from my computer.

By the way, many people here have mentioned how they lost their interest in Ai Otsuka and BoA, I personally have fallen in love with both of them.

She is making a comeback.

I saw news earlier at ayuchina that she will be releasing a new photobook, which is totally her attitude n stlye, the preview pic is hot, n will scare off her fans who are into Aya's sweet girl image.

She have 4 shows waiting for her, n she's picking on which one.

But however, there's no news about her music career.

Here's a few that I was a huge fan of, but recently lost interest for. This list doesn't include the many other artists and bands I have stopped listening to 2 years ago. XD
- All female pop artists like Ayu, Namie, Koda, Ami, hitomi, aiko, Shoko...
- All Hello! Project artists and bands (& sub-projects) like Morning Musume, Maki Goto...
- HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR since Maaki left...

My interest is MUCH more Korea-oriented now. After listening to so much Korean music, I started becoming turned-off by Japanese artists' voice. There's just such a clear difference vocal-wise.

Not alot of acts I've lost interest in, rather I pay more attention to other people when there's not much going on or a certain act's music isn't really connecting with me.

ORANGE RANGE - They're not making the catchy, almost instantaneous, lovable songs that drew me to them. The pop oriented route they've been going down is really lackluster.
Kanon Wakeshima - Just stopped paying attention to her. Also, I didn't like the computerized feel her debut album had when she sampled the strings. I mean I get she wasn't popular so there's a budget to consider but it could have sounded more natural.
Nami Tamaki - I was done with her when Happy Friends came out.
BoA - I'm done with her forever. The singles before weren't cutting it and listening to previews of IDENTITY, nothing's changing my mind soon.

I know, when JEWELS came out, that was too much to bear.
They weren't amazingly epic when they were indie but I could separate them from other visual-kei bands and nothing sounded samey. Now my minds sees alice nine. as 'another pretty boy j-rock band'

^ basically yeah. (haha i liked JEWELS -it was a first for me- but i discovered better songs from the past) and its same for Ayabie unfortunately. i dont get anymore amazing chills anymore. and in Ayabie Aoi's voice has died for me. he doesnt sing his pretty higher notes and never with the beauty he once had. v-kei is dying as a whole (like i think music is great just not as great or distinguished i mean). at least the stronger bands. sadly their music is a lot better than almost anything mainstream jpop to me nowadays so i still love them. i still love the bands even if their most recent (mostly 2009 stuff) things dont please me.

anywayz i forgot to add to my first list:

Nami Tamaki
BoA

no no no no no. . .its just not the same anymore. and i realize BoA is not all that special to me. just another r&b/pop-like artist which seems sorta unoriginal to me. at least i give it to her that shes better than a lot. just not my style anymore.

ive also realized that i dont like my oh so sexy(prob only reason i listened in the first place) Gackt's music as much as i thought i did. like i love him (he has some amazing songs) but like hes not an absolute fav for me now
